Pastelaria Belem sur Paris

A small coffee accompanied by pasteis. Delicious. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

I had already tried many custard tarts, but none like those from Pastelaria de Belém! Now I perfectly understand why they are so famous – their fame is more than deserved. It's normal to find a queue, both to get in and sit down to eat something and even to buy something to take away, but the wait is totally worth it. Besides the famous custard tarts, they have a menu with many other options, so there's plenty to choose from. If I had to point out something less positive, I would say the coffee could be better. Otherwise, everything is excellent: delicious food, good service, and quite reasonable prices for such a famous place. Without a doubt, a must-stop in Belém!

The service is always friendly and the pastries are worth the trip! We've moved out of Batignolles but we still come whenever we're in the area!
