What a gem! Honestly it was the most authentic and best Chinese food I ever had.
Portions are huge, delicious and very inexpensive for Paris. I also believe is a family business, and the entire family might be working in the restaurant, which makes it even more special.
Can't recommend this enough!

The lotus root and pork rib soup is delicious, highly recommended in winter! (If you're not a resident, call ahead to make a reservation.) The grilled lamb chops are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the aroma of lamb fat fills every bite. The Hubei cuisine is authentic, with meticulous attention to detail. The chef accepts custom orders for less oil and salt, and even non-resident Hubei cuisine. The prices are reasonable for the area, and the tableware is neatly laid out and spotless. The details are truly impressive, like the lamb chops being wrapped in tin foil so you don't get your hands dirty. The ribs used in the soup are pork short ribs (though they look incredibly spare, they're more expensive). I recommend going in the evening, when it's less crowded than at noon, allowing you to find a quiet corner to enjoy your meal. I'll be a regular.

Here's the thing: I live in the countryside, and my daughter is studying in Paris. She's been feeling unwell with a cold lately, and has lost her appetite. She messaged me, saying she just wanted a bowl of our hometown lotus root and pork rib soup. But my daughter and I are so far apart, and distant water can't quench a thirst close to home. What should I do?
Just as I was worrying about this, I suddenly remembered that I'd seen Chef Jiang making lotus root and pork rib soup during Mid-Autumn Festival. I thought I'd give it a try, so I called and asked, since it's not a staple on the restaurant menu. To my surprise, the owner agreed to make this soup just for my daughter, and even used his afternoon break to go shopping for the ingredients. That's truly incredible! Chef Jiang, the owner, not only didn't refuse this soup pot, which wasn't on the menu, but he also meticulously prepared it for us.
The moment the waiter brought the steaming bowl of lotus root and pork rib soup I'd been craving to the table, the aroma was immediately overwhelming. This is it! 👍
It was like being transported back home, to the lotus root and pork rib soup my mother used to make when I was little. 👍

I've been to Paris six or seven times, always searching for food that perfectly suits Chinese palates. It wasn't until recently that I discovered Yumian Legend, about an 18-minute walk from Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, that I finally felt a lingering longing for Chinese cuisine! I ordered pickled fish and stir-fried Shanghai greens, and almost every bite of the pickled fish 🐟 couldn't stop praising it. It was so delicious! It was delicious! The pickled fish was a bit less greasy, with just the right amount of sour and spicy, and every sip of the broth was a delight to the taste buds! I drank every drop! Stir-fried vegetables, seemingly the simplest dish, are surprisingly difficult to make well, and the Shanghai greens 🥬 were cooked to perfection! I thought the chef 🧑🍳 was quite talented. It was almost closing time when I saw a chef in a chef's uniform come out. I greeted him and asked if he was the one who made the pickled fish. He said yes. I later learned that Chef Jiang had appeared on Dong Hao's cooking show on CCTV! His cooking skills are truly well-deserved! He pointed to a photo with Dong Hao on the wall and proudly told us that they not only have many Chinese tourists and local Chinese customers, but also many returning French locals. The next day at noon, we returned. Because we had a train to Bordeaux and couldn't dine in, we called ahead to order. When we arrived, Chef Jiang had already had our waiter, Xiao Wu, pack up our sour fish noodles, crispy duck, and Shanghai green rice. Seeing that we were in a hurry to catch our train, Xiao Wu pulled two bottles of chilled mineral water from the freezer for us to take on the train! The aroma of fish and roast duck filled the train carriage, and our neighbors were envious. 😄 Meeting Chef Jiang and his warm, thoughtful, and attentive butler, Xiao Wu, in a foreign country, instantly filled our Parisian experience with warmth and small joys. Thank you for your hard work! We look forward to returning to Paris and savoring the delicious cuisine of "Legend of Fish Noodles" again! 👍🧑🍳🐟💝
