Pâtisserie Chocolaterie Philippe Bouvier sur Rennes

Excellent pastry shop! The pastries are quite pricey but very good and made with quality ingredients! I highly recommend it and will gladly return!

Today I tried a mango and coconut pastry (I can't remember the name), but I couldn't finish it because it was so sweet, just like the éclairs I'd tried before. I didn't try the other pastries (I always hear good things about the macarons), but I think it would be a good idea to reduce the sugar in some of them; I felt like I was getting a cavity right there in front of me.

We bought six macarons from Maison Bouvier, and by far the best macarons I've ever eaten, in my opinion. I don't usually like macarons, but these were incredible: light, not too sweet, and the cream inside was creamy, almost like a mousse. A delight!

Definitely my favorite place for macarons! Special mention for the salted caramel which I keep buying.

Dacquois was my grandfather's favorite cake, and it was a frequent guest at our family table. What a delight to see that the years haven't changed a thing. The flavors are still just as authentic, the texture is perfect, and the emotion is still there. In a single bite, I rediscovered all those wonderful childhood memories. It's a rare and precious feeling. For €4.90, I didn't just treat myself to a pastry: I treated myself to a true journey back in time and a moment of pure, nostalgic bliss. Thank you to Maison Bouvier for preserving this expertise and iconic recipe that have been passed down through generations without losing their soul. In a world where everything changes so quickly, it's a real pleasure to rediscover the exact same flavors as in the past. A must-visit in Rennes, which I wholeheartedly recommend.

Maison Bouvier Pâtisserie Chocolaterie is one of the best places in Rennes for premium French pastries, cakes, chocolates and refined desserts. Everything looks very well made, with great presentation, high quality ingredients and a clear attention to detail. It is a bit pricey compared to other pâtisseries in Rennes, but the quality really makes it worth it. Great option if you want a special dessert, elegant pastry, chocolate gift or a high quality sweet stop in the city.

A wide selection of fine cakes. A personal preference for the Dacquoise and the Polonaise.
