PEDRA ALTA sur Paray-Vieille-Poste

We went during the week, there was no wait, and the service was excellent. It was my first time there, and everything was perfect. Our dishes were served very quickly and in generous portions.

The food was excellent as usual, and we didn't have to wait long when we arrived, but we did have to wait quite a while before our meals were served. There's always a great atmosphere in Pedra, especially with the birthday celebrations.

We've been to Pedra Alta several times since we moved to the 91 (Essonne department). The portions are always generous, the prices are still reasonable, and the owner is kind and understanding. In fact, he's replaced several burnt items for us. But honestly, the quality isn't what it was 10 years ago, and it shows. The restaurant used to be so successful that both dining rooms were open; now the second one isn't even open anymore. The wait is still just as long, but regulars have known that for years. The real problem is the quality of the food and the cooking. A lot of things arrive overcooked. When you order a seafood platter and receive calamari so burnt you can only eat half of it, that's unacceptable. The mussels didn't seem fresh either. The same goes for the meat; the top was a little burnt, although that's not the end of the world since you can always cut it off. But when I see the photos some customers post on their page and what we received at our table, it was completely different. Having to have dishes replaced so often makes you not want to come back for fear of being seen as "difficult customers." And when you compare it to Pedra Alta in Paris, there's clearly a difference in quality today.

A one-hour wait! The beef fillet was delicious, perfectly tender! But the salad was rotten. What a shame!

The restaurant was beautifully decorated, with a wide variety of dishes, careful presentation, and very generous portions! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

I discovered it thanks to friends… great wine for the price! Nice little chain for food!

Second visit, excellent table service. The quality of the food was excellent.

Just a little disappointed with the way the meat was cooked today. But the products themselves are of better quality (very fresh, tasty, and flavorful).

What a great find!!! Right next to the Kyriad Orly Athis Mons hotel, welcome to Portugal!!! If you want to experience Portuguese cuisine without going there, this is the place to be. But be warned!! The portions are GARGANTUAN! Keep that in mind when making your choice. I highly recommend this place.
