Pirates du Perigord sur Carsac-Aillac

The four of us visited Pirates du Périgord and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The pizzas – Chorizo, 4 Fromages, and Charcutière – were outstanding: crispy crusts, generous toppings, and fresh ingredients. We also enjoyed a very good rosé that paired perfectly with the pizzas. The outdoor pizza experience was particularly lovely. The relaxed atmosphere made the food taste even better. The unique ambiance and friendly service completed the perfect evening. Anyone in the area looking for excellent pizza in an exceptional setting should definitely visit Pirates du Périgord. A clear 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great place to enjoy a pizza! The quality of the food is outstanding, with delicious pizzas made from fresh ingredients. The concept is really nice, featuring a separate pizza area, a bar, and an ice cream counter, which gives the place a relaxed and lively atmosphere. The mini golf course also looked like a lot of fun, although we didn’t get the chance to try it ourselves. If you’re looking for a relaxed place to enjoy an excellent pizza, this is definitely one to visit.

Where do I start?! Pirates du Périgord has absolutely smashed the wood-fired pizza. We went for the 60cm pizza, which is outrageously good value, cooked to perfection, and arrives in a pizza box so big it deserves its own parking space. The pirate-themed setting just adds to the fun, but the pizza is the real star. The biggest surprise? If someone asked me to list the best pizzas I’ve ever had, this little spot in rural France would genuinely be rubbing shoulders with other places I’ve eaten pizza which sounds crazy but so true! Who would’ve thought one of the best pizzas would be waiting by a pond, next to a pirate-themed mini golf course in the Dordogne? Absolutely brilliant. A must-visit.

The only thing really missing is that they adhere to their own opening hours, which would prevent 148 Dutch people with roof boxes and crying children from speeding past this establishment at 300 kilometers per hour to check whether the owners saw fit to open the gate to visitors. And by the way, the AI-generated marketing materials along the road can also somewhat spoil the appetite if you are sensitive to that, but the same applies to lactose, and humanity has adapted to that as well. For that reason, I will not let this last point of mine weigh into the final score. And even then, they get off very lightly.

Excellent pizza in a great setting. A lovely family evening.

We arrived and were warmly welcomed by the owner. She showed where we ordered the drinks and pizza etc. We ordered our pizzas and they arrived within 15 mins and were delicious. I highly recommend.

Lovely spot, great pizzas, friendly staff, cold drinks and ice cream, followed by minigolf! What more could you want!
