A wonderful welcome, delicious pizzas but a slightly long service time.

Whether you eat in or take away, the pizzas are good, although their quality can be inconsistent. The dining area can get noisy and the heat oppressive. The staff is pleasant.

A festive scent rises on the corner. The night in Tournefeuille has a touch of Naples. Under the evening lamps, the terraces hum, and cheerful glasses clink with laughter. Behind the window, it's spinning, it's dusting flour, it's singing in Italian around the large red oven. Hands dance. Dough rises, light as a veil, twirls in the light, falls back onto the marble under the amused gaze of the regulars who secretly seek the chef's magic touch. At the heart of the warm ballet of smiling pizza makers, the flame licks the stone and gilds the marvels. The tomato sizzles under the oil and basil, the mozzarella melts like a calm summer evening. The Pepino arrives, queen with a smoky aroma. The Gran Torino follows in a cloud of gold. The salads are bursting with sunshine and freshness, and everyone talks loudly, like in the homes of the South. People come for dinner. They stay for the atmosphere. Children gaze wide-eyed at the fire. Friends put the world to rights over a final drink. The waiters move through the room like musicians, and the restaurant vibrates like an Italian piazza. The old building has opened itself to conviviality: three rooms now, full of voices and life, a long, shaded terrace for leisurely evenings, and always that central oven like a glowing heart. Not far from the legendary Utopia Tournefeuille, the nights now have their own light: that of Mongelli's flames, floured hands, the aroma of warm dough, and the simple joy of large, lively tables.

Still as good as ever, a real treat, all while traveling in Italy.
