We eat there every time we're in the area on holiday, especially in Saint-Émilion, but we were disappointed by the quality of the food. It's a shame.

What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was! I wasn't expecting anything special, especially in Saint-Émilion, where everything is expensive and sometimes tourist traps... but no! Excellent pizzas, and really not overpriced! Other dishes were also well-prepared!

A very nice pizzeria, the food is very good, they have good wine (as you'd expect in Saint-Émilion), and the staff is very friendly, smiling, and efficient. It's located in a touristy area for me.

Pizza lovers, Pizzeria du Lavoir is a must-visit! The pizzas are simply excellent: perfect dough, flavorful and generous toppings… every bite is a true delight. The desserts are equally impressive, with a special mention for the gourmet coffee, which is rich and varied. The setting is relaxing, with a pleasant touch of coolness provided by the nearby old wash house, which is especially welcome during periods of intense heat. As for the service, it's impeccable: a team that is incredibly kind and friendly. This pizzeria far surpasses some restaurants where you pay more for less quality and less generous portions.

The second time we ate here, it was remarkably quiet inside. Nevertheless, it was a successful end to our holiday. The pizzas tasted delicious!

25/06/2026: Loved our stay at Hotel Pavie. We received the most generous and warm welcome that we have ever experienced checking into their property. Staff were warm, friendly, helpful and genuinely kind to us. The hotel arranged a last minute wine tasting at the Pavie estate and that was memorable and the wine fantastic. Our room was beyond beautiful, tastefully done, and a very relaxing delightful home for three nights. We didn’t want to leave. The gardens and views: beautiful. The only thing we didn’t care for was breakfast. The head service person ignored us. She spent most of her time talking to another table. When she did show up she was abrupt and chilly. It’s amazing to me how an unpleasant person can taint a stay at an otherwise perfect property.
02/05/2026: I didn't stay overnight, but I enjoyed the magnificent terrace with a nice glass of white Bordeaux. A top-quality vintage for 9 euros and a breathtaking view.

Fabrique de Macarons

13/09/2026: Their chocolate macarons, while still respecting the original recipe, are simply delicious. Their shop is a real treat for the eyes and the taste buds, with a wide variety of sweets to choose from. The staff are welcoming and friendly; we'll definitely be back...
