Pizzeria San Remo sur Gerardmer

Excellent restaurant, absolutely delicious, my taste buds were delighted. A very friendly waitress with a smile, it's been a long time since I've experienced that. The only slight downside is that you can't make reservations. I recommend it 200%!

Still top-notch, even though it had been years since my last visit. Everything was just as perfect as before: pleasant service, delicious dishes, and truly delightful desserts. The decor is even prettier than before... Tony is still making pizzas and is just as friendly. I highly recommend it.

Living in Gérardmer, we had never eaten at this restaurant. There was no way we were going to queue all the way down the street hoping to get a table, which is usually the case. Finally, one day we went when there was no one at the entrance, because yes, at this restaurant, you have to wait at the entrance for a server to deign to come and get customers. Well, the experience was nowhere near what we had hoped for, seeing the recurring queue stretching down the middle of the street. It's incredibly ordinary, the same as everywhere else: pizzas, hamburgers, etc. Not to mention the interminable wait to be served and the appalling indifference of the servers towards the customers. Reading the glowing reviews, one wonders if most French people still know what it means to eat well, without resorting to the same old menus found everywhere else. In short, as far as we're concerned, without having eaten badly, absolutely nothing justifies queuing in the street to eat there, and it's even surreal to witness such a spectacle!

Professional service, although you do need to be patient to get in. The terrace is quiet (plus there was a musician playing tonight, which was great). The pizzas are excellent.
