Plein Sud sur Martel

A nice little break with a charcuterie and cheese board. The atmosphere was relaxed.

We went to Plein Sud a few times, and the service was always excellent and the food was good!

The service was a bit slow. It's a shame the waitresses weren't very friendly.

It just goes to show, you should never judge a book by its cover! At first glance, Plein Sud seemed like a fairly typical brasserie, and to be honest, I wasn't particularly keen on eating there. I wasn't in the mood for "brasserie" food that day… The menu looked tempting, though, without completely winning me over. But we had to eat, so… off we went! And then came the first pleasant surprise: a very friendly, kind, and professional waitress. A few words, a smile, a way of welcoming us that immediately put us at ease. We sat down without imagining that our first impression was about to change completely. I chose a pizza, and my partner had a salad. When the dishes arrived, my pizza was already visually stunning and particularly appetizing. Then came the tasting: a crust that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a perfectly balanced topping. Not a pizza smothered in three kilos of cheese that masks everything else! Just the right amount to appreciate the flavor of each ingredient. A real success. The service was equally impressive: efficient and professional staff. They were busy and working, but without rushing around. Everyone seemed to know what they were doing, and the service was calm and efficient. It's truly a pleasure to see a team working so well. As someone in the industry myself, these are things I pay particular attention to, and here, I really appreciated it. Add to that excellent value for money, and our initial impression was completely forgotten! It just goes to show, sometimes all it takes is walking through the door… We will definitely be back, especially since we love the Martel area. A very pleasant surprise that I highly recommend for a delightful experience.

Empty terrace with completely overwhelmed staff. Coffee was okay.

Excellent service (super friendly and smiling staff), and really good food (sausage foie gras, aligot, duck confit, lamb...) at a reasonable price.

The wait was interminable, 50 minutes between ordering and being served for two pizzas. The drinks were served quickly and were obviously warm due to the wait. Fortunately, the pizzas were very good.
