The pros: magical location, cleanliness, and the service, which has improved considerably this year.
The cons: the food: firstly, it's a self-service restaurant, and secondly, the food selection is basic, incomparable to most mountain restaurants in Megève—for example—yet the prices reflect those of mountain restaurants. That said, the food is quite well cooked, coffee aside.
Note a comment made today to an English-speaking customer: the manager is anti-Trump to the point of boycotting Coca-Cola. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even to the point of missing Khamenei, but it seems to me that in business, one should refrain from sharing it.

Fantastic restaurant! The view of Mont Blanc is magnificent, and the staff are always friendly and very efficient! The self-service system makes the service very smooth. I highly recommend it!

Exceptional location!
We come to Le Prarion every year and are always warmly welcomed. The restaurant is very good, admittedly a bit pricey, but for a mountain restaurant, it's quite reasonable.
The view is breathtaking!
This year, conditions were difficult (hugely crowded due to the Chamonix slopes being closed), and despite that, the staff were lovely.
I highly recommend it, and of course, we'll be back next year.

The location and view of the Chamonix valley are breathtaking.
The service and staff were friendly and welcoming.
However, the prices are absolutely unreasonable for a self-service restaurant, especially considering the quality of the food: €16 for a small mixed salad, for example.
A place like this deserves better food and more attractive prices. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment.

This is a total discovery for me and I think we will come here at least once a year to ski. The restaurant is in a beautiful place and we started every day with coffee there. The staff is super super friendly, and the owner is a real host. Thank you!

A magical moment on this terrace with this incredible view. I see negative reviews about the prices... how is that possible? We also paid €100 for 3 people and we stayed 2.5 hours on the terrace... it's like not paying for a movie ticket but paying €20 for popcorn... it's a mountain restaurant!! It's open for 3 months in winter and 3 months in summer... Do the people in the negative reviews about the prices have no concept of saving money?!!! It's crazy... so here's my opinion: let it remain expensive and above all, LET IT STAY OPEN so we can enjoy this view in such an incredible location... all the best.
