04/08/2026: A timeless moment overlooking Mont Blanc! The owner welcomed us with just the right words after our hike up from Saint-Gervais! The fondue was excellent, and the after-dinner drinks were more than welcome! We'll be back!!

17/03/2026: We had dinner at the Ferme de Cupelin restaurant. It was our first time there since the new owners took over. We were surprised to find a set menu of either 6 or 8 courses. We chose the 6-course option. The food was of good quality and well-presented, but we were a little disappointed with the accompanying jus and sauces, as they lacked flavor. The service was very professional, but we preferred the kindness and friendliness of the previous owners. The staff was a bit rushed. We had a pleasant time overall. In previous years, we were regular customers, but with the new management, we might not return.

07/08/2026: In all honesty, from start to finish, from the appetizer to the dessert, everything was perfect. My partner and I had a wonderful time. The dishes were refined, full of flavor and originality: a true delight. Special mention goes to the risotto, which is without a doubt the best I've ever tasted. The staff was smiling, welcoming, and attentive, with simple, warm, and very pleasant service, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A truly wonderful discovery that we wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back!

07/08/2026: A family meal for our last evening of vacation and everything was perfect! A warm welcome, original and expertly prepared dishes, perfectly selected wines—in short, we left on a very positive note. There were three of us: two adults and one child. We highly recommend it!

30/08/2026: One evening we ate Galette and Tartiflette, which were so good that we went back to try the Raclette, which was also very good. Recommended if you're passing through Saint-Gervais.

05/09/2026: Very disappointed. We made a reservation in June for September. We learned via Google that the restaurant is closed. No one called us to inform us or to cancel our reservation.

14/07/2026: We decided to return to this restaurant after four years, with great enthusiasm and the hope of recapturing the wonderful experience we had previously enjoyed. The ambiance and decor are still as pleasant as ever, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our lunch. We arrived with high expectations and hearty appetites. We left disappointed and far from satisfied. Service: mediocre and clumsy From the outset, we were asked to choose our dessert before we had even started our meal. An unusual practice, but we agreed. We quickly regretted it. When we shared our comments about the dishes, the waitress simply said, "Ah, I see," without apology or questions. The same reaction occurred when we sent the desserts back. This gave us the impression that she herself wasn't convinced of the quality of what she was serving. The starters were decent, but the rest was a disaster. The starters ranged from passable to good. However, the main courses were a real disappointment: • a tough lamb chop with an overly salty, almost inedible sauce; • a beef fillet that was decidedly not tender, even served rare, with a sauce that was once again too reduced and too salty. The side dishes were meager: a small, poorly executed rectangle of dauphine potatoes and a tiny bowl of vegetables meant to be shared between two people. This might have been acceptable if the flavors and freshness had been there, but they weren't. Desserts: a complete failure. The cherries in port served with a "panna cotta" were tasteless, and the panna cotta was a panna cotta in name only. The warm pear and chocolate soufflé was undercooked: you couldn't taste the pear or the chocolate, only the unvaporated alcohol. We left both desserts, as they were simply inedible. A hefty bill for a disappointing experience We paid the full bill, €262, despite not enjoying or finishing our meals. Conclusion The principle of a restaurant is, first and foremost, to provide good food. If you want to treat yourself, in my humble opinion, Le Sérac is not the right choice. Especially since several excellent restaurants can be found in the village: Le Rond de Carotte, Source, or, for a similar price, La Ferme du Cupelin and La Table d’Armante in Saint Nicolas de Véroce. A real shame for the culinary scene of Saint Gervais les Bains. We were hoping for at least a decent meal; unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

11/09/2026: A must-visit, of course. In a magnificent chalet that was once a farm, and also a nightclub, before becoming a restaurant. The staff is very friendly and efficient, especially if you haven't made a reservation. The fireplace heats not only the meat but also the room. The menu is indeed traditional mountain fare. One disappointment: the lamb comes from New Zealand. So I declined to order it.

11/09/2026: The service was a little too fast. The food was very good, the fondue excellent, but more raw vegetables would have been perfect.

02/02/2026: The place is simply amazing I was there with a group of Jews for the weekend and Shabbat. The owners went out of their way to help accommodate the group, and the stay was more than adequate The place is clean and maintained to a very high standard, even for a prestigious area. The kitchen was converted to a kosher kitchen despite all the requirements, and the food and cooking were done on site for the entire weekend, including Shabbat Highly recommend

22/08/2026: A superb spot in Haute-Savoie! Chez Ernestine is the perfect place for a family outing. The setting is magnificent, with a beautiful view, and it's a great place to stop during a walk. The children loved it: games, trampoline, swimming pool, sandbox, swing… plenty to keep them entertained while the parents enjoyed the surroundings! We appreciated the warm and friendly welcome, as well as the meal. A welcoming, family-friendly, and relaxing place where we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!

23/08/2026: A place specializing in chocolates and sweets. They offer small pieces and you can choose your own selection. They also have cakes and cookies. What's special is that many of the varieties are alcohol-free.
