First visit with our friend who lives near Angoulême, and frankly, we weren't disappointed! Super fresh, seasonal produce, very generous portions, and especially the discovery of things like cognac cocktails, etc. ... We'll definitely be back, and it's excellent value for money. A restaurant that doesn't look like much, but the welcome was very warm, the staff were friendly and smiling. The menu is simple yet varied. The food is delicious. We had a wonderful evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you to the team for this lovely experience.

Contrary to what other reviews say, the floor isn't sticky (you might need to change your shoes, I think 😄). A table was ready for our reservation, and while the chairs are admittedly old, they're comfortable enough not to be hard. It's worth remembering that not all restaurants have the luxury of changing their furniture as often as they'd like (for me, that's not a problem as long as it's not "broken up," which it wasn't). The meal was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place; it's friendly, the service is good (finally, someone smiling! 👌🏼), kudos to the chef—the homemade fries are excellent, and so is the rest of the meal! We'll be back!
