Refuge de Miage sur Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains

After climbing for more than 2 hours the outward journey, from La Villette to the Miage refuge, very happy to find a good place to regain energy. Potato, bacon and cheese omelette with a good salad and a blueberry tart on the side. . Bring cash or check!! No credit card or internet connection upstairs!!! To do but equipped to climb it's steep!! Thanks to the Miage refuge team.

Very nice place but a slight disappointment in terms of value for money. The meal is basic (tasteless omelette with boiled potatoes!), some prices are prohibitive (more than 8 euros for a blueberry tart). The premises are very nice and the view magnificent but it would benefit from a little more authenticity in the dishes. The place probably remains popular with people who come by car, which perhaps explains this...

After a first hike, a little stop and go to this refuge for a drink, with just an ideal setting! The following week, after almost 4 hours of hiking via the Col du Tricot, finally the Grail, the refuge is there for a good hot meal, with the wood stove (in June yes, a real pleasure I assure you 😅 ). Thank you for the good humor and this spirit of conviviality, looking forward to coming back to enjoy a good omelette!
