Refuge du Lac sur Allos

Quiet places with a beautiful view of the lake. Accessible only on foot, it takes around 30 minutes to walk.

Great last evening of the season (and night) at the Lac d’Allos refuge! It was a first in this shelter, the welcome was warm, the whole team took great care. The dinner was so good, the digestive too :) Very good atmosphere, view of the lake: in the evening, early in the morning or at the end of the day, it's magnificent! I had a blast and having come alone, I chatted with a lot of people, whom I met the next day in different places during my hike in Pelat. It was another opportunity to laugh together again!

Everything is explained on their site, it is indeed a REFUGE and not a hotel!! The welcome is very warm, the meals copious and delicious (thank you Gersande!). The beds are therefore of the period and so are the snorers, fortunately there are earplugs. And the view is therefore sublime. The sunrise over the lake is just magical, as are the stars at night. Thank you for this pleasant closing.

Top notch, no-fuss welcome. Super nice and friendly team. Tasty and hearty meal. Very decent dormitory despite the "period" beds and blankets being more than sufficient for a good night's sleep. At €43 for half-board, it's really honest... To top it all off, the starry sky and the lake in the early morning should convince you 👌👍

We came here at the end of August, the shelter was not so busy but the atmosphere was great. The host speaks many languages and is very sweet and welcoming. We had dinner and slept in the shelter one night and hiked up to the Mont Pelat on the next morning, 100% recommend the hike. The dinner was so tasty and portions were big. El anfitrión habla muchos idiomas y es muy dulce y acogedor. Cenamos y dormimos en el refugio una noche y caminamos hasta el Mont Pelat a la mañana siguiente. Recomiendo 100% la caminata. La cena estuvo muy rica y las porciones eran grandes. Las vistas desde el refugio son espectaculares.

Sans prétention et se fondant dans le paysage, le refuge du Lac d'Allos nous a permis de faire une halte après avoir fait le tour du lac et avant de repartir sur nos pas ! Nous nous y sommes arrêtés uniquement pour un bon petit chocolat chaud fait maison mais le refuge propose également des nuitées sur place en mode dortoir et une cuisine familiale proposée en salle ou en terrasse selon l'heure de la journée : CB non acceptée (du au zéro réseau je suppose !) mais espèces et chèques OK ! Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce côté naturel de la batisse (sans compter l'équipe sur place très accueillante !) qui ne dénote pas avec le magnifique paysage preservé de cette vallée !
