Stunning location, easily and safely accessible even in January - but call beforehand. Spotless clean. Friendly staff. Cosy. We had traditional very simple food, and it was unusual refined in it's simplicity - class act. The place oozes of culture and history.

A fantastic stay at this mountain refuge over New Year's Eve. The team was incredibly welcoming, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was delicious. The Nordic bath was amazing with breathtaking views. A truly rejuvenating stay, thank you!

A refuge worth a detour, ideally located for hiking trails, the welcome is warm. Just one point for improvement: the quality of the coffee at breakfast. Note that there is no public Wi-Fi connection.

The place is magnificent, the refuge is ideal for having a drink on the terrace but the 4-person rooms are cramped once the bed drawer is unfolded (mezzanine for two) or 6 beds. The food is similar to that of a community. There is no room for hikers to relax. It is a choice of concept which is not that of a mountain refuge.

21/09/2025: A very pleasant stopover, even though we're not in the mountains. The Prioux hamlet has authentic charm, with the stream below to cool our feet after a long walk. The old stone building is divided into two parts: the refuge section with several dormitories, the common areas (dining room, bathrooms with hot showers!), and the inn section. We received a very warm welcome, with a drink on the sunny terrace and dinner at the table d'hôtes. That evening, we had pella (tartiflette with raclette cheese), a green salad, and ice cream. I highly recommend it 👍
12/09/2025: Impersonal welcome, decent room and good quality dinner. On the other hand, the picnic and breakfast are too light for hikers.

28/08/2024: I am frankly surprised to see some negative reviews which are absolutely undeserved. We went there without a reservation yesterday afternoon. My daughter wanted to eat a good raclette. Our request was accepted without any problem. Our waitress was alone but very present, the raclette was super good and not too long of a wait despite the number of tables to serve for one person alone. Not having finished our cold cuts, we were able to take it home to make our sandwiches today, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you for the welcome and the quality of the products.
28/08/2024: What to say? The waitress was alone and she handled it perfectly. I asked for a mulled wine, in the middle of summer, and out of season (I had never tasted one). It was kindly made for me. So, a big THANK YOU. I had a full menu for 26€. The terrine did the job, the Diot was sublime and the crozets were perfect. The lightning was good. The coffee did its job. For 26€, a starter, a main course, a dessert, and a coffee, I say ''bravo''. Thanks to the team.
