06/05/2026: We only had two beers, but the welcome and service were excellent, and I think it was the best view from a restroom I've ever seen.
One thing is for sure: we'll be back to eat there.
And we have.
We ate there this winter in February and have no regrets. It was very good and plentiful, and the service was friendly despite the crowd. We'll definitely go back.
06/04/2026: I only ate there, but the place is beautiful, the food is excellent, plentiful, and well-presented!
The service is super friendly; I come back every year to eat there and go skiing or hiking.
I didn't stay overnight.

Refuge du Roc de la Peche

03/04/2026: I was quite cautious when booking the refuge because various reviews had been mixed.
But it turns out the owner has changed, and the quality and hospitality are back! We had absolutely no complaints, quite the opposite!
Just one thing to keep in mind: it's not a typical "CAF" (French Alpine Club) refuge, but rather a hostel-style refuge. So you pay more, but the quality is also superior (showers, pool table, rooms, etc.).
29/03/2026: We stayed at the Refuge du Roc with a group of 12 plus 2 guides for a star-shaped ski touring trip. The refuge was a perfect base camp! The climb from Pralognan is a good warm-up but quite accessible to all levels of skiers. The refuge is perfectly equipped, notably with a games room (pool table, darts, video projector), a sauna, and a Nordic bath, which make après-ski very enjoyable! The cook was super friendly, the service impeccable, and the meals delicious.

21/09/2025: A very pleasant stopover, even if it's not in the heart of the mountains. The hamlet of Les Prioux has authentic charm, with a stream running below to cool your feet after a long hike.
The old stone building is divided into two parts: the refuge section with several dormitories and common areas (dining room, bathrooms with hot showers!), and the inn section. We received a very warm welcome, a drink on the sunny terrace, and dinner at the communal table. That evening, it was pella (a tartiflette with raclette cheese), green salad, and ice cream.
Highly recommended! 👍
12/09/2025: Impersonal welcome, decent room and good quality dinner. However, the packed lunch and breakfast were too light for hikers.

22/02/2024: Si vous raffolez de plat savoyard ne choisissez pas ce restaurant. Je m’attendais à me régaler avec une tartiflette mais quelle déception : pommes de terre à l’eau couvertes de crème avec une tonne d’oignons coupés grossièrement car surgelés, des lardons pas cuits et 2 petits morceaux de reblochon… Pareil pour la croziflette. Et la salade qui accompagne de la bonne salade en sachet !
Bref en étant en Savoie on s’attend à beaucoup mieux
20/02/2024: Nous y sommes allés un soir la propreté se la vaisselles laisse à désirés nous avons pris une raclettes heureusement pas pirate carte service était sale il restait même du fromage collé sur les coupelles une fois avoir mangé la charcuterie lanplanche en bois était noir une salade de mâche non nettoyé.franchement très déçu. De plus des serveuse qui ce plaignent des clients étrangers.
