Relais de Gabillou sur Sourzac

Another first for us, although we went with a friend who had been before a number of years ago. First impressions, just set back from the main road, the entrance to the restaurant is at the rear. The dining area comprises of a single open space with a white tiled floor with tables set around the perimeter. We all felt the space Itself was cold and uninviting particularly as the outside door was wide open. It was lunchtime so pretty quiet, probably eleven customers. Menu de Jour on offer but we chose from the main menu, three courses for €32. Starters, we chose profiteroles with escargot and mushrooms, very tasty. Main courses, two ordered fish which apparently was very good, I chose sirloin steak with fries, a bit disappointed really, tough and a bit gristly. However the creme brulee was very good. House red, white and rose wine available, we had a 75cl jug of red which was ok. Would we come again? Probably not, why? The restaurant felt cold and we don't particularly like dogs in a restaurant especially when its drooling on the floor in front of you.

Great restaurant! Authentic and generous cuisine, just like the owner. We had a lovely time, and even got a bit of a bad joke at the next table about the pistachio ice cream. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent restaurant with homemade cuisine. We ordered the set menu; the profiteroles with snails were delicious and the sea bass fillet was very delicate. The owner was also very friendly. We will be back…

We stopped for lunch and were greeted by the manager, who is also the chef. We had a very good meal and received a warm welcome. We highly recommend it; it's all homemade!

A place we stumbled upon that definitely deserves to be better known! We ate there twice in one week because we enjoyed it so much 😋 Delicious food made with fresh ingredients, all served by a charming (and proud) bear of a man with whom we had a lovely chat! Discovered somewhat by chance, but recommended by the community, we stopped at this address. We weren't disappointed. It's a restaurant with soul, not a big chain. The food is generous, made with heart, using local products and prepared with care. The owner does everything (greeting/service/chef), and he does it well. It's a restaurant you stumble upon and return to for the pleasure and the atmosphere. Thank you again.

We stumbled upon this place completely by chance, and what a wonderful discovery! The owner, who runs everything single-handedly, is absolutely charming and incredibly generous. From the moment you step inside, the old-fashioned ambiance, with its white tablecloths, cloth napkins, and knife rests, sets the tone: here, they take their time and appreciate true gastronomy. On the plate, the beautiful regional cuisine is elevated by high-quality ingredients and perfectly mastered culinary techniques. Everything exudes a love of cooking. Thank you for your kindness and your wonderful culinary spirit. We look forward to returning.

We had a lovely meal here, good quality ingredients cooked beautifully. The owner was charming and spoke perfect English.

There were four of us this Sunday for an excellent meal. The setting is beautiful. The food was delicious. The chef is very welcoming. He's the only one in the kitchen and in the dining room. He's very well organized to serve you without any waiting. Don't hesitate to stop by if you're passing by. It's true that from the outside it doesn't look like much, but it has a real charm inside, both in the dining room and on the plate. This restaurant is also air-conditioned, which is very welcome given the heatwave. Congratulations to the owner. We'll be back.
