Restaurant a la Couronne sur Scherwiller

Very good restaurant, apart from the reception at the bar of the manager who was not very friendly and who made us wait and who forgot us. It was a nice waitress who placed us at our table. The waiters and waitresses are very competent.

Magnificent setting. Pleasant staff. Great price quality.

Top staff. Top kitchen. Superb decor. Reasonable price. The only downside is the presence of customers who are visibly adept at positive education. Good luck to them for the future.

Regular customer for several years, we are never disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends... I just regret the absence of the baeckeoffe which is no longer on the menu, but it's not very serious ☺️ great service.

We were told this is a very good local restaurant and there were lots of positive reviews online but sadly our experience was not good. It was busy when we arrived, even early in the week, but we had made a reservation ahead of time and all seemed well - but then we were seated in the furthest, darkest corner with not much welcome and given menus in German, despite speaking French right from the start. The main courses were fine but not that special. Mine was not very hot. Perhaps the team was stretched with the restaurant almost full but from then on service got worse. It took a long time for plates to be cleared. Un cafe gourmand came, but without the coffee and with a biscuit that looked and tasted burned. The crème brulee was overcooked and curdled, not smooth. I told the waiter I was disappointed and his reply was to thank me for the information. That was all. No questions, no apology. We had to ask 3 times for the bill. The server told me I would have to go to the till to pay by card and I should follow her, but as I did so, the other waiter charged into us both with a card machine, looking at me as if I might be thinking of leaving without paying. We paid and left quickly, shaken and dismayed. This is the only bad experience we have had in Alsace. Dommage.

Comme tous les ans à pareille époque, nous sommes venus entre amis déguster les bons plats alsaciens. Il est superbe ce restaurant, décoration typique. Tout le monde a trouver de quoi régaler ses papilles même les plus difficiles. Coup de coeur pour la choucroute, le burger royal et les rognons. Les solides appétits se sont satisfaits. Grand choix de plats, desserts et vins locaux. vivement l'année prochaine. Service rapide malgré la foule, pensez à réserver. N'oubliez pas en partant d'aller visiter le Chiotilus il vaut le détour.
