Absolutely excellent tarte flambée

Every time I come to Alsace, my cousin takes us to eat tarte flambée, a childhood memory. But I couldn't find the same atmosphere anymore. With the oven at the back of the room (in the barn) and the pre-cut tarts being passed around. There was a way of doing things that made the evening so convivial. At L'Aigle d'Or, I rediscovered a bit of that atmosphere because we ate on the terrace. Not forgetting the apple tart, which had disappeared and which we had the pleasure of enjoying. Thank you for this reunion! 🤗

A friendly restaurant where the art of tarte flambée is truly respected. It's generally a pleasure to eat here with family: the tarte flambée is delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed and convivial meal. However, the service can sometimes be lacking. There's a certain amateurishness in how customers are treated. It's not uncommon to have to ask for the same thing several times before getting it… or sometimes to be served at all. This seems to stem from a lack of experience, particularly on the part of one young waitress. Despite these areas for improvement, the restaurant remains pleasant thanks to the quality of its tarte flambée.

Family tarte flambée night and the quality is still there, a delight 🤤. The only slight downside was that the crème brûlée was a little too runny for my taste.

Definitely one of our favorite spots for tarte flambée. The portions are generous and the tarte flambée is delicious. We introduced our friends from Paris, Nice, and Lyon to Alsatian cordon bleu here, and they loved it so much they haven't stopped talking about it! We highly recommend it, however, the wait can be unpredictable; some evenings the service is very quick, other times you'll have to wait a good hour…
