A wonderful discovery at Restaurant Amédélys.
I had the pan-seared duck breast with chimichurri sauce, a fantastic combination of flavors. The chocolate fondant with yogurt ice cream and mint coulis was also excellent, with a very fresh and surprising combination that's a welcome change from classic desserts.
You can tell there's a real attention to detail in the flavors and a particular focus on the ingredients. Special mention also goes to the service, which was impeccable from start to finish: welcoming, professional, and warm. A place I highly recommend!

We went to this restaurant following a very good recommendation. The menu is rather limited, unfortunately, but the food was delicious. The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. We did, however, find the tables a bit cramped and the background music a bit lacking.
P.S. We absolutely must have the recipe for the dauphine potatoes; they were simply divine.

Excellent food, but the service was quick. It's a shame the servers weren't friendly. We had a reservation for 1:30 pm, and we were rushed to vacate the table. We had our starter, main course, dessert, and coffee in 40 minutes. The servers were noisily setting up tables for the next service, and the chairs and tables were being rearranged with a clatter. It was 2:15 pm, and we just wanted to leave the restaurant as quickly as possible. Why agree to serve at 1:30 pm if it's such a nuisance?

During a stopover in Brive-la-Gaillarde (Oléron-Marseille), we discovered this restaurant on a street behind the church (the tourist office team was a great help: thank you!). It's best to book, but we took a chance and got a table for two. The set menu is very affordable and refined. Enjoy your meal! 🥰
