Restaurant Au Cerf sur Wissembourg

We enjoyed two daily specials: confit duck leg with celery puree, new potatoes, and plum sauce, and an excellently pan-fried redfish fillet with various vegetables and basmati rice. Both were superbly cooked and beautifully presented. We also had a delicious Auxerrois wine; all in all, a very satisfying experience.

A thoroughly enjoyable visit to Au Cerf. The service was absolutely fantastic: since we weren't entirely sure about some of the menu terms, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, explaining everything to us again in German. We weren't disappointed with the food either. The veal fillet with mashed potatoes and vegetables was cooked to perfection, tender, and a true delight. The absolute highlight, however, was the veal cordon bleu with Morbier cheese – juicy, crispy, and simply superb. The whole package of cuisine and hospitality was perfect. We'll definitely be back!

We're disappointed this time. The steak was overcooked, not as ordered, and tough. The lunch menu now consists mainly of tarte flambée. You can get that anywhere. What a shame. ☹️

Le Cerf in Wissembourg offers exceptional cuisine, with flavorful, refined dishes prepared with great care. Everything was absolutely delicious, from the appetizer to the dessert. A huge thank you to the entire team for the warm welcome and excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be returning!

I highly recommend this restaurant. I went there on Wednesday, and despite the crowd on the terrace, the waiter took excellent care of our order. The meal was fantastic; the steak was succulent, and the salad was fresh. I will definitely be back!
