The tarte flambée was great! However, the baked Munster cheese was a bit too strong, and I think the pastry was frozen. In any case, it wasn't very good.
The place isn't very big, so you need a bit of luck to get a seat.

A very warm welcome despite the late hour. The flammekueche had a thin, crispy crust and was very generously topped. The Pinot Noir was excellent, served chilled – perfect. The sweet flammekueche was a delicious way to finish.
In conclusion, a lovely place, top-notch service and welcome, and above all, very good food at a great price. I highly recommend it.

Small, cozy restaurant. Good food.
But the front door stays open for service on the terrace, so you have to eat in your jacket. A shame.

We spontaneously decided to visit this lovely restaurant on Easter Saturday and were fortunate enough to get a table after a short wait. The owner is very friendly and, together with her daughter, manages the large number of guests very well. We ordered tarte flambée (one with cinnamon rolls, the other with Roquefort cheese). For dessert, we had crème brûlée and café gormand. The entire meal was delicious, the service extremely friendly, and the atmosphere both inside and out very cozy. You can immediately tell that the owners are passionate about their work! Highly recommended!

An exceptional evening.
The decor is magnificent and the welcome is very warm; you feel right at home in this restaurant, which alone would have been enough for a wonderful evening.
And yet, from the main courses to the desserts, everything is delicious, made with fresh, seasonal ingredients; we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
For me, the best restaurant in all of Colmar…

A wonderful experience at Caveau Saint Jean in Colmar!
Despite the restaurant being full, the owner managed to find us a table, which was much appreciated.
The pizzas are excellent, made with fresh ingredients and customizable to your liking—a special mention for the "All-You-Can-Eat Pizza," a fantastic idea!
The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
And to top it all off, the prices are very reasonable.
I highly recommend it!

We ordered Tarte Flambé (Alsatian pizza), Entre Côtes aux Fours (ribeye steak), Jaré-Brésée (pork shank), and Riesling wine. I wanted to have dessert as well, but I held back because I was too full. Also, thanks to the kind owner and staff, the food tasted even better. The price was even better. Highly recommended.
