Restaurant Au pont de l'Ill sur La Wantzenau

No complaints about the service or the atmosphere, but I found the dishes lacked flavor.

A must-visit for its fish and seafood menu. The restaurant is cited as "one of the best fish restaurants in Strasbourg." The service was quick, efficient, and friendly. Parking is very easy in front of the restaurant. The hotel of the same name is right next door, which is very convenient as we stayed there. I recommend the oysters, for example, the "shucker's platter," which is quite generous for one person. But also: the "Grandma's Chicken" and the foie gras... a wide selection of wines... a good atmosphere...

A wonderful restaurant with top-notch service and great food!

The "Au Pont de l'ill" restaurant in La Wantzenau, specializing primarily in fish, is lauded as a "temple of fresh fish" in renowned restaurant guides for good reason! It's one of the top addresses in Alsace for fish lovers of all kinds! I last dined there on Valentine's Day and, as always, was extremely satisfied. That evening, I enjoyed the Valentine's Day menu created especially for the occasion, and it was delicious! Beautifully presented, as always! The selection of fresh seafood and fish dishes is almost unbeatable and will make any fish lover's heart beat faster. Meat dishes are also available on the menu. The restaurant is very busy on weekends. Due to the efficient layout of the rooms, the noise level is correspondingly higher, but this doesn't detract from the pleasant atmosphere. My only minor criticism concerns the restrooms. In my opinion, the size and number of cubicles are insufficient for the number of patrons. One small suggestion for improvement would be to check the restrooms more frequently to maintain hygiene. Nevertheless, we are and will remain big fans of the restaurant and will gladly return regularly – that's for sure!

Excellent restaurant! The seasonal menu was really nice, with beautifully prepared ingredients. Special mention goes to the oysters; I've rarely eaten such good ones: they were truly excellent. The entire meal was very good, from the appetizers to the main courses, and the service was also very pleasant, with a friendly and attentive staff. A minor drawback was the dining room, which was quite noisy when we were there, sometimes making conversation a little less enjoyable. But this is a small detail compared to the quality of the meal and the wonderful time we had. A very good restaurant that I highly recommend, and where we will gladly return!

The service was very average. There was a long wait at the reception desk. The staff wasn't attentive during the meal. I didn't have a good appetite. The dishes weren't presented properly. There was no goodbye. The atmosphere was noisy and overcrowded. The food was okay, but nothing special. The presentation, however, was nice.

Perhaps I'll try again another time, but the frog legs were overcooked and far too salty.

A little disappointed, it was very hot on the terrace and the fish and sauce were bland. The fish soup and oysters starter and dessert were good.
