The plus: very friendly, professional, accommodating staff. Terrific location, especially if you are travelling with a dog - the park, just outside the hotel, is very pleasant. There is a supermarket within walking distance. The beds are very comfi and the sheets are better than in some 4 stars hotels we have been to before. The breakfast offer is varied and of good quality. Our room was very clean. The shower is good, hot and adequate pressure. Easy access from the motorway. The minus: the rooms are tired and so is the outside of the hotel. It is quite noisy as you can hear doors opening and closing and people passing by until late. I would recommend avoiding the rooms by or under the stairs - room 007 is one of these rooms just under the stairs. The breakfast coffee is abysmal. It made by a machine similar to those you find in old aires on the motorway.

Chateau de Beaulieu

15/04/2026: Lovely location on the edge of Tours, where we spent three happy nights on a half board option. This worked well for us - being out and about all day & then to return to base to chill. We had a lovely room in which we were very comfortable with our dog too. So relieved to know that our companion could accompany us when dining. Food on site was very varied, but of good quality, some may find portions a tad small, but it was well presented and accompanied with homemade bread! Breakfasts were all what we have come to know well as a french breakfast. Croissants & Pain au Chocolate were good quality and the fresh orange juice very welcomed too. There was a huge wine lists with some very ‘interesting’ wines! Whilst more modest wines were to be found in amongst the Whites. We were intent on trying the local wines too. Staff were all very attentive and accommodating & we would certainly love to return.
09/04/2026: I highly recommend it, the team is top-notch and so is the castle.
