Restaurant Ce Cher Hans sur Vendenheim

On our way back from vacation, staying nearby, we made a wonderful restaurant discovery. From the decor to the welcome and the service, everything was perfect. And what can I say about the menu? You want to order everything! We had to choose: an excellent Flammkuchen and a surprisingly delicious warm pot-au-feu salad. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Every meal is different, ultimately it's a lottery depending on who's there, I can't explain it, but the bill still has to be paid despite the disappointing experience. We came for an Alsatian salad and had an aperitif with a tarte flambée (which was good, I must say). After that, a BlackBerry was out because our salads hadn't been prepared, or as we were told, it was a table mix-up. Fine, once we pointed it out, they arrived, but they were far from the restaurant's usual standard. The grated cheese came from a bag (yes, you read that right, not freshly grated), and the cervelas sausage had a slightly stale taste. We asked for bread, which we're still waiting for today. Other times it's been perfect, but not this time. Why? Going back? How can I put it? 🤨😕

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant with its warm decor, friendly and professional staff, and excellent food. Special mention and a nod to our waitress Marguerite, who was perfect in customer service and didn't hesitate to tell us about the origin of the late-harvest Gewurztraminer we enjoyed as an aperitif. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of its food, its family atmosphere, and the friendliness of its staff.

The food was excellent, especially the kidneys. The only downside was the narrow parking lot. And it was noisy inside; you couldn't hear yourself speak.

If you want to taste Alsatian specialties, the famous flammenkuche is the place to go, I highly recommend it.

Excellent lunch today: cordon bleu and fries with a friend 😋. Beautiful presentation and very tasty. Lovely restaurant with a great terrace. The homemade vacherin was excellent. 👍 I highly recommend it. The waiter and bartender were top-notch.
