We had a blast! A big favorite for the foie gras tatin...

The best meal I have had in the area. Authentic atmosphere, amazing food, beautiful wines. The pan fried foie gras was maybe the best thing I’ve ever tasted-just melted in my mouth . The lamb and aubergine main was so flavourful, I had doubts about the combination but it was recommended by my local friends and did not disappoint. Hardly had space for dessert but couldn’t let the chocolate dessert pass by and it was so good. The atmosphere and touches of this small restaurant is spot on, the chef is so talented and hard working, the service was friendly, such a lovely evening and setting. Absolutely recommended. Will go any chance I get.

There is no menu, all dishes are a la carte, but they are excellent.

Great romantic evening… A delight every time we come to dine at Hugo's... as lovers or friends it's always a success. The food, the service, everything is delicious. I recommend this restaurant 100%

One of the best restaurants in Seillans ☀️

We spent a few days visiting my father and went to Chez Hugo on our last night. The views are spectacular as is the service. But quite frankly it was one of the best meals we have ever had. Every dish to perfection with very local fresh ingredients. If you are in the area, this is a restaurant you should definitely visit.

The stars are for the cuisine which is tasty, but not for the welcome which is not up to standard. We came twice, 1 week apart: the first time at midday, our request for lunch indoors in the cool seemed to pose a problem (even though we had made this clear when booking, it was just 37 degrees outside!). However, there were only 3 tables to serve. This evening, there were 3 of us instead of the 4 planned: tragedy for the chef who, by way of welcoming, lectured us at length on the pretext that we were making him lose a customer. This gentleman clearly has an oversized ego, which makes him forget that a customer is not a guest, that he must be respected as an essential cog in his activity. He ruined the start of our meal. Fortunately, the staff this evening were responsive and friendly, which makes up for it a little. But only a little.

We found our entire meal excellent. Freshness, mastery of cooking (I'm thinking of fresh pan-fried foie gras, in particular). Friendly welcome and service. Atmosphere of a pretty Var village.

Nous sommes arrivés là un peu par hasard. Et vu les avis sur ce site nous avons décidés de nous y arrêter. Entrée, plat dessert, tout était délicieux avec beaucoup de saveur différente dans chaque assiette.
