Restaurant Clair Martin sur Le Chambon-Sur-Lignon

We stayed at this hotel because we were attending the Equiblues festival in Saint Agrève. The hotel is well situated among the trees and is very quiet. You can park your car in a covered area or outside. The room has a balcony and is very comfortable. The bed is perfect. The pool area is also spotless. We had dinner there on our first evening and it was excellent. Breakfast was also good. The staff is very friendly. In short, don't hesitate to spend a night or more at this hotel.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. The welcome was warm, and the staff were helpful and professional. The setting is well-maintained, and both dinner and breakfast were of good quality. However, our night was severely disturbed by a neighbor's dog that barked and howled from 2:00 AM onwards, and for a good part of the following day. While the hotel is aware of the situation, it is not directly responsible for this disturbance, but it unfortunately impacted our experience.

June 2026: Back from Corsica, we decided to explore here for two days using our Smartbox voucher. When we arrived, we were able to park in a small, shaded shed ☀️, which was very convenient 👍. We received a warm welcome from our hostess, Sonia, who showed us to our room (comfort type) on the second floor, which we climbed on foot. Please note, there is no elevator ☹️, so it is not accessible for people with reduced mobility 🧑‍🦽. I noticed 🧐 during my climb that some of the stair slats were missing and that the carpet was old and could definitely use a refresh 🔨🪛🪣🧽 (see photos). We appreciated the small bottle of water and sachets of coffee and chocolate provided, but we were disappointed that for a "comfort" room, there was no air conditioning or small refrigerator ☹️, whereas most of the hotels we've stayed in had these. The infinity pool (with saltwater) is very beautiful and pleasant for cooling off, but unfortunately not very practical for swimming. It's worth noting that the waterfall adds a special charm to the whole place 👍. The hotel also has a gym, a billiards room, and a jacuzzi (which we didn't use). Breakfast is a real treat, with something for everyone (both sweet and savory) 😋. The hotel is also located in the middle of a magnificent pine forest, which makes you feel close to nature 🥰. In short, we had a pleasant stay at this place 🙂.

We had a wonderful weekend at the end of May celebrating Julie and Cyrill's wedding. This hotel and restaurant is very peaceful, the food is excellent, and the nights are restful and pleasant. Numerous activities are available on-site (swimming pool, jacuzzi, paddleboarding, hiking, treetop adventure park, etc.). The hotel has a family history, with four generations having run it since the 1940s, and it's still going strong today. Thank you to the manager and the entire team.

We celebrated Mother's Day at the restaurant and I want to congratulate the chef on cooking the fish perfectly 👏 the dessert was amazing, we had a very good meal

We held our wedding at the Hôtel Clair Matin last weekend and had an absolutely wonderful time with our family. The organization was perfect from start to finish: everything ran smoothly and professionally, allowing us to fully enjoy this very important weekend. The meals were delicious, refined, and greatly appreciated by all our guests. The setting is magnificent, surrounded by nature, with numerous opportunities for sporting activities nearby. We also greatly appreciated the relaxation facilities, especially the swimming pool and jacuzzi, which perfectly complemented the experience. In short, we highly recommend this hotel for a family stay, an event, or simply to enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating setting. A very nice establishment. The welcome, staff, rooms, and facilities (infinity pool, spa, gym, fitness center, EV charging station) are all excellent. Perhaps air conditioning would be a welcome addition.

We had the pleasure of staying three days at the Hôtel Restaurant Clair Matin, and everything was perfect for a wonderful stay. The hotel offers excellent amenities, including a lovely swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a billiards table, and a padel court. As for the food, we enjoyed delicious dishes, presented beautifully and with great attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients and the care taken in the details are evident – ​​hats off to the chef! The welcome was warm and friendly.
