Nice looking place. Lots of smiles as we entered. It is small so booking is a good idea. There was only one waitress so service was slow. She missed a trick by not giving us menus to peruse while we waited. Finally we went and found the menus and wine list , and took them for the whole table. The menu is small so we expect we each dish to be great. It was OK but not special. Potatoes were bitter and unpleasant but no apology given. Coffee was disappointing. Cappuccino not available as they didn't know how to prepare it. £214 for 6 people (2 courses) for an ok meal. Somehow it didn't meet expectations.

Superb discovery in Vence! A recent change of ownership that makes perfect sense! Thank you Anne for your welcome, we had a delicious time on the terrace with an incredible view!... The decor is great...we feel good.... In terms of cuisine, it was also a success with excellent value for money... The zucchini flower fritters are to die for, as is the tuna tartart.... Excellent mastery of cooking sea bass and beef fillets! For dessert, we loved the mimine tiramisu! The wine list is mastered and has some nice local surprises in store. We will come back without hesitation....Excellent continuation!

Très bel endroit et nouvelle patronne très agréable. En revanche, il ne fallait pas ouvrir alors que ce n’était pas au point. Le service est trop amateur. Pas à manger avec l’apéro. Les quantités des assiettes sont trop petites. Les saveurs sont en bonnes voies mais pas toutes… Le velouté aux asperge : à peine une cuillère à soupe Les pâtes : et ba une grosse plâtré de pâtes avec 2 asperges !!! L’assiette enfant : une tonne de pâtes avec un steak haché trop cuit 3 desserts à la carte mais seulement 1 de disponible : malheureusement une panna cotta avec 0% de sucres et de la verveine très lointaine… La bouteille de vin posée à 10 mètres de notre table… Dommage de ne pas avoir fait une phase test à un prix attractif avec critiques des convives… Car même les prix ne sont pas adaptés : 96€ un côté de bœuf pour 2 !!!

17/12/2024: I stayed here in July of 2024 for only one night. I emailed the hotel letting them know I would arrive at midnight and they responded promptly, letting me know they would be there to accommodate me. I had a monthly airbnb for over 6 weeks so I only needed a place for a night. The airbnb ended up being a total nightmare and I had to move to another place but I always went to Mas de Vence to work as I was traveling and working on a different time zone. The family was amazing and so was the staff. They expected me everyday and never charged me for the wifi usage although I was no longer staying at the hotel. They served me water while I took my meetings without me asking and told me I could use the pool free of charge. This family and even the guests are just so kind and caring, it was a breath of fresh air. Merci et Merci encore pour votre hospitalité. Je suis la dame de Californie qui parle l'italian aussi. Desolé pour ce review tardive.
