We highly recommend this place. Beautiful shaded courtyard. The staff were very attentive despite the heat. We had a very good meal. Thank you for your hospitality.

Wonderful little restaurant. Superb home-style cooking, nicely shaded, pleasant and friendly service. Worth making the detour outside the Béziers market to find it.

Fantastic find! Excellent home-style cooking, just the way we like it 😍 Very friendly and welcoming. The waitress and owner were incredibly kind and helpful! Whether you choose the sunny terrace, the parasols, or the beautiful back room, I'd definitely go back!! 10/10, thank you again!

Fantastic restaurant! We celebrated my dad's birthday there today and had a wonderful meal. We were lucky enough to have the entire restaurant to ourselves in advance. Thank you to Nathalie, Jade, and the chef! I highly recommend it.

Hippopotamus Beziers

15/08/2026: To make it perfect We would have liked the meat rarer. And homemade fries. The fish and chips were perfect 👍🏼 The kids' menu was the same In short, almost perfect And thank you to the very kind staff
13/08/2026: I've been going to Hippopotamus for a very long time, and I was very disappointed this time. The service was incredibly slow, they forgot the bread, and they refused to accept my holiday vouchers even though I use them every time. Plus, they were out of parking tickets.
