We had a great time with a group of 10 people for a two-night weekend. For those looking for a charming and authentic natural setting, this is the perfect spot! As for accommodation, we slept in a very pleasant and comfortable yurt. However, next to the yurt, we had the unpleasant surprise of finding a composting toilet that was already quite full and emitting very bad odors... What a shame! Regarding activities, we tried the escape game, which is more of a treasure hunt in the woods. We had a good time: the puzzles and workshops were well-designed. Regarding the food, we had mixed feelings. The meal was very good – we opted for a fondue. However, we were not impressed with the service. Interacting with the waitress was difficult for several reasons. We ate in a room as narrow as a corridor – beware if you are claustrophobic! Although we had expressed a desire to dine outside, given that tables were still available and other customers were dining al fresco, we were subjected to clumsy remarks when the wines were presented to us. For dessert, we had opted for a "café gourmand" with three desserts of our choice, including a mirabelle plum tart, which, for no apparent reason, was replaced with a fresh cheese. We didn't feel welcomed by the waitress; we had the impression we were intruding. Finally, regarding the restaurant's pricing, the bill was inflated compared to what had been initially agreed upon, even though there had been no changes to our order. I find it regrettable that this restaurant experience was marred by a professional who refused to accommodate the simple and understandable requests of customers.

This little mountain chalet is truly worth a visit. The place is peaceful, authentic, and full of charm. Its self-sufficiency in water and electricity is particularly appreciated. However, in the height of summer, water can become scarce: a reality that also serves as a stark reminder of the very real effects of climate change. A wonderful discovery!

What luck to have stumbled upon this little gem! We were looking for peace and quiet, nature, and we found exactly what we were looking for, on a small scale. We pitched our tent in the nature camping area, surrounded by trees and mountains. There was a composting toilet, a wooden tipi for a solar shower, a fire pit and barbecue area, and several hiking trails nearby. We loved sleeping in this verdant setting. We received a wonderful welcome at the farm where we had breakfast, featuring local products, including delicious fresh cheese from the neighboring farm. We enjoyed the restaurant one evening: fondue with a view of the Swiss mountains – what more could you ask for? There are also yurts for those who aren't fans of camping. Our favorite spot in the Jura region. PS: Remember earplugs if you're a light sleeper; the cows wander around at night with their bells tinkling.

We've been coming here for over 30 years and it's always a pleasure. The location in the alpine pastures is incredible, and the menu has really improved: fondues, rösti (including an excellent vegetarian version), local wines, and delicious desserts. We love it!

Excellent mountain restaurant, top-notch service and a very friendly waitress. Very good local produce, I highly recommend this place.

Excellent restaurant with a superb view

Back from a wonderful stay at La Petite Echelle, we are thrilled! It was a complete escape. A lush green setting, animals, well-maintained and comfortable yurts, excellent food...and a brilliantly designed escape game! Thank you to the entire team at La Petite Echelle, with a special mention for Sandrine who welcomed us with such kindness and enthusiasm.

What an amazing place! Nature, peace, and an incredibly sweet and hospitable welcome. Delicious local food and surrounded by cows, chickens, and donkeys!

A timeless haven of peace Perched in the heart of the Grande Traversée du Jura (Great Jura Crossing), the Ferme de la Petite Échelle (Little Ladder Farm) is a magical interlude, far from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. Here, there's no running water, but filtered water and dry toilets—just what you need to reconnect with the essentials. The setting is authentic and unspoiled, and Antoine's exceptionally kind welcome made my arrival even more special. He took the time to explain everything to me with passion and simplicity, as if I had always been a part of the place. A unique experience, to be had at least once by those seeking adventure and serenity. Thank you, Antoine, and see you soon on the trails!
