Having arrived relatively late (1:45 pm) in La Bouille on a Sunday, Café de la Poste was our only option for lunch. Given the reviews, we were a little apprehensive, but we actually had a very good meal. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere and setting are pleasant, the service is efficient, the menu is quite varied, and the prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. We ordered a Caesar salad, a moussaka, and a slice of Norman apple tart; the portions were generous, and everything was delicious.

The waitresses are very welcoming, smiling, and attentive. The burger, with its homemade bun, is truly delicious. I particularly recommend the Normand. Beautiful view of the Seine. In short, top-notch service, a pleasant atmosphere… I highly recommend it!

It's a shame the café closes in the late afternoon; there's no option to eat in the evening. But it's very pleasant for a refreshing drink.

A very warm welcome and a delicious, well-presented meal worthy of a top restaurant. Being on the terrace, the view of the Seine is a very welcome bonus. I highly recommend it! 👌

Returning from vacation at 9 pm without a reservation, we were very happy to find a restaurant willing to welcome us. The welcome was warm and the service impeccable. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it! 👌

26/07/2026: We arrived late on a Friday night in La Bouille and having checked in to our hotel were extremely thirsty. A short walk along the road was this clearly very popular bar La Escala. Very helpful staff (and customers who helped translate an order for us). Delicious cold wine and beer and a view of the Seine as well. With tables outside there was lots of locals coming and going all very cheery and welcoming. We didn’t eat but we enjoyed an hour or so in the cooling evening being made to feel very welcome.
26/07/2026: The food was absolutely fantastic! The bar and service staff were very friendly, thank you for the warm welcome 😄
