Restaurant de l'Auberge du Sombral sur Saint-Cirq-Lapopie

13/11/2024: 10 of us came for November 11th. The establishment was full…. On the three terraces!!!!! We waited about ten minutes and a nice young dark-haired woman seated us on the terrace. On the one hand the service is remarkable, everything is magnificently well organized. On the other hand the dishes are good. As for us, we ate typical dishes based on foie gras but also pancakes and pizzas! Finally a perfect restaurant in every way! THANKS !

10/11/2024: On November 8, we were especially looking for a sunny terrace. So we stopped at this restaurant. We were welcomed very kindly by a young woman who did not hesitate to leave us the last table of four place settings to meet our main request: sunshine. You will eat mainly local products à la carte, or you will choose between two menus, at €23.90 or €29.90. I opted for the latter for the homemade semi-cooked foie gras, which was well served and excellent. For the main course, I ordered a porcini mushroom omelette. Perfectly made and above all well stocked. My wife did not want dessert after her carbonara pasta. I ordered a Pavlova. A gargantuan plate arrived (for two?). A treat! The service is very attentive. You won't have to look around for the waitress to refill your carafe of water or your basket of bread. The latter is the only downside to our meal. It was served with quality country produce, but it was not fresh… It is therefore an excellent address and we will not fail to return to this restaurant during our next visit to Saint Cirq Lapopie.
