Restaurant du Chambon sur Eymouthiers

What a fantastic site with wonderful hosts and staff, all were really friendly and helpful. When we arrived we had a problem with our car, which despite having taken out breakdown cover (which was useless) took around 3 weeks for us to sort out the problem. Jiske and Peter (the hosts) were really helpful; they arranged for a member of staff to take us shopping which would have been difficult for us as the shops were a 10 minute drive away, they provided a jack for the car which we repaired ourselves, they could not have been more helpful Anyway back to the site, it is as I said fantastic, the pitches have lots of space and shade and the facilities are spotless. There is a lovely swimming pool and children’s pool with plenty of sun loungers. The area its self is lovely with cycle and walking routes directly from the site. There are children’s play areas too so this site suits families; everything you need is there for you. Thank you Jiske and Peter for all your help, looking forward to staying on your lovely site again in the future.

Great and spacious location and campsite but if you let it go it's not like the photos. Sanitary doors open so dirty because of birds. Paddling pool and dirty slide, too bad for a 4 star. No advice, no leaflets and no information to visit the surroundings and activities. Nice maintenance man, very helpful and there are beautiful places..

Lieu très agréable au milieu d’une campagne vallonnée a proximité de la forêt et d’une rivière. Au départ d’une multitudes de promenades pédestres et vtt Bengalows climatisés et quasi neufs Ambiiance A la fois calme et vivante grâce aux toboggan et à la piscine et aux animations Petit bémol pour la restauration sur place er uniquement petit dépannage pour la nourriture

Nice campsite just looks a little tired overall. Good swimming pool. From September it starts to shut down from October closing so reception and restaurant hours change. Overall a quiet stay. But good.

Camping très calme en pleine nature septembre 2023

Fijne camping op een prachtige locatie! Ruime plekken met zowel zon als schaduw mogelijkheden. Vrije keuze indien mogelijk! Een camping met zwembad, speelgelegenheid en leuke activiteiten voor de kinderen zonder dat het overlast geeft voor de overige vakantiegangers. Daarnaast gezellige avonden met live muziek en oa bbq! In de omgeving mooie wandel/fiets routes. Grotten om te bezoeken, Kajakken en nog veel meer. Zeer vriendelijke (Nederlandse) eigenaren die hard werken om iedereen te woord te staan en ons goed hebben geholpen toen we met pech stonden. We komen zeker nog eens terug!

Wandel en fiets camping. Niet veel te doen op de camping en directe omgeving. Plekken zijn wel mooi groot en brood is heerlijk. Eigenaresse onhebbelijk toen we een dag eerder vertrokken naar een zonnigere bestemming zodoende de service lager beoordeeld. Wij komen niet terug, voor rust zoekers of wandelaars en fietsers zeker wel aanbevolen. Op een uurtje rijden wel een aantal leuke dingen te doen en zien.
