A truly wonderful experience every time! Our stay at Hôtel Le Lac in Malbuisson is always something very special. The stylish ambiance, the beautiful location, and the pleasant atmosphere make it a real pleasure. Evenings at the Restaurant Le Lac are always a highlight. The magnificent Louis XVI-style hall provides a beautiful setting for a delightful dinner. We particularly recommend the Menu Plaisir or the Menu Le Lac. The legendary dessert trolley is a special treat to finish off the meal – just looking at it is a delight! For us, Hôtel Le Lac is one of those places we always love to return to. I've known this restaurant for several years. I always enjoyed coming here, but today I was very disappointed with the dish, which was a lamb skewer on the €51 set menu. The meat was very tough, almost impossible to cut or chew. I mentioned it to the friendly waitress, but she didn't understand French. My daughter stepped in to try and explain in English so she could pass the information along. It's a real shame I couldn't finish the dish. Have a good evening.

We were forced to dine two nights in a row at this establishment, and were very disappointed... the service is very slow, a parade of waiters running around, groups have priority over other customers, the food is bland and tasteless, only the desserts from a pastry chef are excellent, plus very poor value for money, the establishment sent us another night to another of its restaurants: La Ferme, and here the food was excellent.

Warm welcome, delicious food, fast service, I recommend it

We came for dinner last night and were really looking forward to discovering this restaurant, especially because of its absolutely magnificent setting. From the moment we entered, everything was beautifully presented: the restaurant was clean, elegant, and elegant, with lovely tableware and high-quality porcelain. In that respect, there was nothing to complain about. However, we were very disappointed by the food. Unfortunately, we didn't find the flavors we expected from a restaurant of this caliber. This is all the more regrettable because the setting is superb and the overall presentation gives the impression of a quality establishment. But for us, the value for money was unfortunately lacking. The bill was quite high, and given the prices, we really expected much more flavorful and refined cuisine. So we left very disappointed, despite the truly magnificent setting.

The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, the meal was excellent.

Nice place, the atmosphere is cozy and the view of the lake is magnificent. The food is good, however, there were very few vegetables on the plate (a rosette of potatoes, one small broccoli, two slices of another vegetable, and one small tomato). There's no information about the daily menu; you have to ask each server, and the explanations are very brief. I was very disappointed by the dessert of the day, as I don't like lemon speculoos tiramisu at all. I asked if I could have a scoop of ice cream instead, but to my dismay, I was told it would cost €5 more. I find that outrageous for a scoop of ice cream, even if it was homemade (and I know a thing or two about homemade ice cream: even the best ice cream I've had from an Italian artisan didn't cost that much). So, no dessert and not even a gesture of goodwill at the end.

Good restaurant with good value for money.

We wanted ice cream, it took 20 minutes to get the menu, another 15 minutes to order, and... 20 minutes later, still no ice cream!! Exceptionally slow service, no customer service whatsoever... Absolutely avoid this place.
