I tried a traditional baguette 5 minutes after purchase, but the texture was already starting to feel rubbery. Like when bread is a little too old.
Probably made in the morning for a 4 p.m. purchase.
It's a shame they didn't get it fresher.

A superb bakery discovered during a hike near the greenway. We bought some shortbreads for €1, even though they easily cost €3 in Biarritz. They were very soft, delicious, and you can tell they were made with quality ingredients.
An exterior worth a look. You enter from the mill side, and at the back you'll have access to the bakery display.
