After a bad experience at a restaurant in Marseille's 6th arrondissement, I was hesitant to eat couscous again.
A friend convinced me to go to this Tunisian restaurant on the Old Port, next to the fish market.
I wasn't disappointed at all when I chose the grouper couscous. The dish was delicious, with small vegetables and broth to keep the semolina moist.
For dessert, I really enjoyed the assortment of small pastries, especially the makroud.
I had them with peach and blackcurrant sorbet.
We chose a table for five upstairs in a lovely oriental setting inspired by the palaces of the Arabian Nights.
The waiters and the owner were very kind and gave us a warm welcome.

This isn't a new discovery, but I absolutely love this place. The food is simple, home-style cooking with exceptional flavor and quality. The staff and management are simply wonderful and lovely. Tonight I introduced it to my visually impaired friend, and he loved everything and had his best couscous ever.
For dessert, the oriental pastries were excellent, and the mint tea was delicious and beautifully served.
