05/05/2026: Superb hotel, with good service and a great team

The hotel is a manageable size, with relatively spacious rooms. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which is a plus. The breakfast is good. The pool and gym are also pleasant.
Negative points:
We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and our keys were deactivated after two days without any explanation, which is incomprehensible.
There is no trash can in the toilets—a first for us after many hotel stays.
The hand sanitizer was not replenished, and several standard items for a 4-star hotel were missing: no glass in the bathroom, no makeup remover pads, and no usual toiletries kit.
The same applies to the amenities: no umbrella or iron.
Regarding water, only a small, non-returnable carafe is provided, which is inconvenient.
When the manager told us that this met the “Mercure standard,” it raised questions: is this standard lower than what we expect from a 4-star hotel? If so, we will consider avoiding this chain on our future trips, as it falls far short of our expectations.
We understand that significant investments may be made in wellness or spa facilities, but this should not come at the expense of basic, expected services.
Finally, one particularly inconsistent point: the presence of a sticker stating “do not flush down the toilet” (with a bin supposedly available near the sink)… when, in fact, there is no bin in the toilet.
