Restaurant La Maison Rouge sur Barberaz

Wonderbox stay (night + spa + breakfast) was perfect. No complaints whatsoever.

The hotel is easily accessible by bus from Chambéry train station. The place is surprisingly spacious and warm. All wood and very cozy. We were greeted by a very charming and friendly man. However, the rest of the staff seemed unavailable and rather unfriendly (in short, if you go to reception for information, don't hesitate to clearly ask someone for help. Otherwise, you'll be left waiting indefinitely). Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready when we arrived, even though we arrived an hour after the scheduled check-in time. On the other hand, the room was spotless and the bedding comfortable. At the restaurant, although we had a reservation, we were completely ignored for 5 minutes before they even looked at us. The menu is nice, but some dishes lack side dishes in my opinion, and the hygiene of the premises wasn't great (dirty menu, crumbs on the table, filthy floor). However, the breakfast buffet is very well stocked and of good quality. The spa is lovely, and an hour is plenty as you can see everything quite quickly. I think it's worth getting a massage to enhance the experience. Overall, it was good value for money and a chance to spend a relaxing weekend, if you're not too fussy about the service.

We only had dinner at this restaurant. A very good meal with local and homemade products. Quick service despite it being very busy.

This is our second visit and we're not disappointed! We booked the spa, which is very pleasant. The room is superb. The hotel is very quiet, which is really appreciated. The restaurant is excellent and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We highly recommend it for a romantic getaway. Bonus: if you don't have breakfast, there's a snack bar where you can have a light coffee in the morning 😊

We stayed one night using a Wonderbox voucher before going skiing the next day. We arrived at 3:00 PM (rooms are available from 3:00 PM) and ours wasn't ready, but it was prepared immediately, which didn't bother us. We were offered luggage storage while we waited. The room was spacious, the bedding was excellent, the toilet was separate from the bathroom, there was a coffee machine (with capsules, cups, and sugar), water was available, and soap and body lotion were provided in the bathroom. Bathrobes and slippers were waiting for us on the bed. There was a problem with our reservation for the spa, but we were still able to access and enjoy it. The spa was very pleasant with two pools, a sensory shower, a hammam, and a relaxation area with homemade lemonade and various teas. It's true that the hotel is close to the highway, but this didn't bother us while we were sleeping; we knew this beforehand by checking maps. We had breakfast at 6:45 am and everything was ready. There was a wide variety of choices to suit all tastes, and it was all very good. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly, the hotel is very nice inside, and there's plenty of parking. We will gladly return.

The hotel is very well located on the holiday route. Friendly staff, excellent restaurant. A very good experience. All that's left is to try the spa next time.

We spent one night at this hotel. We stayed in the annex on the third floor, in the attic. We had a view of the highway. The noise from the constant flow of traffic made us wonder if the skylight was even closed. The breakfast lacked variety. The style was more reminiscent of a youth hostel. We didn't try the spa. We won't be back.

We come here quite often to eat, and once again, we weren't disappointed. The welcome, the service, and the delicious food are all excellent. We'll definitely be back and will recommend this place again! (We occasionally enjoy massages and spa treatments, staying in a room with great pleasure.)

A great experience with the "Savoyard Moment" package. The cabin-style rooms are lovely and clean. The aperitif is very good and the breakfast is superb! The massages are excellent. The only slight drawback is the temperature of the pools in the spa area. The water is much too cold… and the hammam is extremely noisy.

Well located, comfortable and spacious rooms, the spa area is really good and the breakfast is perfect.
