Here's my personal opinion: I heard this restaurant was getting a lot of buzz recently, so I went with high expectations for the 74 euro lunch course. While my initial impression was good, my final impression was disappointing. The portions were small, so I wasn't full. The dessert was bitter and astringent, and my companions, including myself, ranked it as the worst. However, the price wasn't bad, so I thought it was worth a try. The chef's cooking skills were decent, so I guess it's just that the course meal wasn't for me. I'd love to visit this restaurant again.

A mind blowing lunch experience, unparalleled flavour and lovely presentation. This was innovative, incredibly fresh and colourful! Worth a journey in itself. Benoit came out to greet every guest, it was all in all a very uplifting experience.

Beautiful dining room! Excellent service! Delicious daily menu!! I highly recommend it! The dishes were beautifully presented with an excellent blend of flavors! As I was pregnant, the chef was very accommodating, which was very pleasant!

2 Michelin stars well-deserved, on par with my experiences with those restaurants (very close approximate is Oriole in Chicago). This is a top-flight, elegant but not pretentious dining destination. Menus organized thematically based on local walks through woods and along the river/lake. Dishes extremely well crafted, not molecularly crazy, very high respect for local ingredients. Pacing excellent, perfect overall amount to eat (we had the land/water 8 course). Get a table if you can, could not more highly recommend.

L'Avancher Hotel Restaurant

13/02/2026: Everything was perfect! A delicious Savoyard fondue with porcini mushrooms, a very warm atmosphere. Special mention to the staff: very attentive, discreet, dynamic, and always smiling. We will be back.
