Very good table in a quiet and spacious place.
We enjoyed the dishes on the menu "from sources to roots" from start to finish, with particular mention for the arctic char and the pigeon supreme. Thank you to chef Benoit Vidal for his expertise in refined cuisine, and his humility observed during his visit at the end of the meal.
A small improvement could be in the level of service where we found the sommelier not very eloquent on the choice of wines, leaving us "a little alone" faced with a plethoric list of wines without any real force of suggestion for the guests who do not take food and wine pairing...
Menu at €205, which is absolutely not excessive for a 2 star and the region.
The staff are adorable, as is the chef who comes to take the temperature at the end of the meal. Special mention to the sommelier who had to deal with obnoxious people the day we came.
The food is sublime and thanks to the chef, we discovered his world and his technical skills on sauces.
Downside because as a good Frenchman you have to find one, the exterior setting is not with a view of the lake or mountain but personally I don't really care.
My wife and I discovered Benoît Vidal's house Sur Les Bois. We loved the multitude of flavors and the excellent presentation of all the dishes on our menu. We appreciated the welcome and the exchange of a few words with Mr.Vidal when we left. We had a great evening and we are ready to do it again.
A very good time spent today with delicately balanced dishes.
The chef invites us into his culinary universe where the elegance and subtlety of the associations are made with great accuracy. A big thank-you !
What a joy to have been able to share with our friends this magnificent culinary journey at Maison Vidal.
A light and poetic cuisine borrows nature in each bite but without forgetting its Catalan roots.
Bravo benoit, a new successful bet and great things in perspective.
A must-see address in Annecy👍🙏😋
