A wonderful discovery at Le Chamarel in Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The manager's welcome was truly impeccable: smiling, attentive, and very professional. We chose the Savoyard specialties, including the "Le Chamarel" fondue. A real treat! Very generous and perfectly prepared, served with a lovely charcuterie platter, salad, and potatoes. The desserts were simply exquisite and provided a perfect ending to the meal. A warm and authentic place that I highly recommend!

L'Alpage

13/04/2026: A welcoming, kind, and very accommodating team. The accommodation is very comfortable, and the location right at the foot of the slopes is a real plus. Good value for money.
05/04/2026: We stayed here with our family around the Easter holidays for our skiing vacation. We had booked a room for 6 people without a mountain view. The apartment is suitable for 4 people. There are 2 separate bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The beds are on the soft side, but for 5 nights, this is personally not a problem for me. If you stay here with 6 people, it seems very small to me. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner electric stove, a microwave/oven, and a dishwasher. The provided pots and pans are minimal. There is one small pan and a few pots. You can cook anything on them, but you might have to fry things several times in the small pan. Adjacent to the bedroom with the double bed is a small bathroom. This consists of a sink and a shower. Furthermore, there was another separate bathroom with a sink and a bath/shower. There is also a separate toilet. Additionally, there is a terrace that comfortably seats 4 people. Ours was on the shady side, but it was still a nice extra. Otherwise, we were very satisfied with the staff. They are very friendly and helpful. The various ladies I spoke to all spoke fluent English. Before our departure, I received three calls asking if I had any questions, and while we were on our way, I was called again to ask approximately what time we would arrive. We also used the swimming pool. This was quite pleasant to do with the children. It was about 3.5m x 8m. Furthermore, there was a sauna and Hammam available. Only for those aged 16 and over. There were also several sections here. We did not use the offered paid parking. About 300m from the hotel, there was a parking lot along the side of the road where we could park our car (for free) during our ski holiday (6 days). However, you do have to reach the hotel via a barrier for which you also have to pay to get in. I do not know the exact surcharge for this at the moment. The ski locker space we had was sufficient for our equipment (4 people). The boots are dried on a boot rack, ensuring you always have warm boots in the morning. However, this area is less well-designed. It consists of long, narrow corridors with doors on one side where you can store your gear. If you are seated at the back, it can take quite a while to access your ski equipment. The corridors are just wide enough for two people to pass through (without skis/snowboard). Getting from the hotel to the slopes is not difficult. Getting back to the hotel from the slopes in the afternoon is slightly "more difficult." I am an experienced snowboarder myself, but I couldn't manage to snowboard all the way to the hotel without taking off my board. You have to go between two buildings, cross a small bridge, and then make a short descent to the hotel. All in all, I would definitely book the hotel again.
