Restaurant Le Chateau de Sable sur Porspoder

Sehr empfehlenswert ist das im Gault-Millau erwähnte am Rande der Dünen gelegene Restaurant Le Rivage du Chateau de Sable. Das Essen ist phantastisch, insbesondere die Ceviche de Dorade, der Aile de Raie und das Hähnchen mit Ratatouille. Der freundliche und höfliche junge Service ist bemüht. Der Gastraum ist modern und nüchtern.

Very friendly hospitality, very clean and large rooms with excellent sea views and large terraces or balconies, enough parking spaces directly in front of the hotel (included in the room price). Fantastic sunsets when the weather is right. We will happily choose this hotel again at any time.

9-course lunch with a splendid sea view, magnificent. Special mention to the lobster and St Pierre…a delight.

Large room and top bedding. On the other hand, no decoration on the walls which does not give a warm atmosphere. No luggage rack in the room, no coat hooks in the bathroom. And no safe to store everything you don't need to take to the beach! On the brasserie restaurant side, deplorable service. Table not cleared of aperitif glasses, carafe of water arrived with dessert because requested. And frankly, the waiters have nothing to do in an establishment like this, dressed in jeans and sneakers! Exposure of tables behind a bay window in full sun is not great despite pretty curtains, an awning would be more appropriate which would give shade and not hide the view. And finally, temperamental wifi service, and no air conditioning. A lot of shortcomings for a 4 star hotel. Sheep, blah!

Wonderful. Such a tasty treat. Great views great service and imaginary foods. Food combii ok nations were out of this world. Well deserving it’s one star!!!
