Restaurant Le Chateau de Sable sur Porspoder

A great first for us at this gourmet restaurant and a wonderful tasting experience. Thank you to the chef and his team for their cuisine and thank you to the dining room for their energy and service.

Very pleasant eco-hotel. Quiet and sober! Prime location, close to the GR 34 and the main places of interest in North Finistère. Small downside: very average quality of breakfast products. Very friendly team with very good advice!

The food is excellent, the view is nice. But the service is below the standard of a hotel school. We had made a reservation, but the reservation was forgotten… they were lost. The service is provided by apprentices, who don't announce the dishes… they skip the appetizer… And you're only allowed one slice of bread at a time, so you might as well ask them constantly to get more… And for a restaurant of this quality food… we would have liked to have been able to enjoy it a little. In 1 hour flat, a meal served from starter to dessert. It moves along at lightning speed, no time to breathe.

Sunday lunch with friends under the Breton sun. Impeccable service, excellent meal (pollock cooked to perfection), very good sides, nothing to complain about. A great place with excellent value for money!

Disappointed to learn only upon arrival that the spa was closed. We hadn't been informed. We didn't ask for a goodwill gesture...it would have been nice if they had offered it. The room has a large terrace and a magnificent view. One downside, however, is that there are no shutters, just simple curtains.

This is the third time we've returned to this hotel and we still love it. For its tranquility, the view from the rooms overlooking the sea, the kindness of the staff (always smiling :) ), and the cleanliness. We tried the massages for the first time. A guaranteed moment of relaxation; the hardest part is not falling asleep. There are many walks possible in the area. And we were delighted to discover the restaurant, both gourmet and market menu (on certain days only). A wonderful place.

The rooms on the second floor have balconies with a great sea view and a spectacular sunset! The staff are super friendly. Free parking is available, but there are no charging stations for electric cars.

The Château de Sable in Porspoder is a magnificent place, ideal for a relaxing getaway. Our room was superb: spacious, beautifully decorated, and with all the expected amenities. The dinner was also excellent, with refined dishes and delicious wine. However, a few drawbacks marred our experience. The dining room service clearly lacked professionalism: the young waiter who attended to us was clearly a beginner and didn't know the dishes, which is a shame in such a refined setting. But the real disappointment was the spa. We had booked a massage and it was a complete disaster: a cold room, no heated mattress, no background music (only the ticking of a clock...), no towel to cover ourselves with during the treatment, and above all, no explanation of the treatments. When we asked the difference between the two services, the response was simply, "Well, they're two different treatments." This total lack of professionalism is completely at odds with the quality of the place. In summary: top-notch accommodation and food, but the wellness area needs to be completely overhauled. A shame.

We had lunch there, we were alone in the restaurant, so pleasant! The waitress was attentive and very efficient and kind. The view is incredible. Market menu at €35, excellent value for money. A la carte is more expensive €52 for my lamb dish, which was very good. I recommend this peaceful place and it is excellent, a must do before visiting the Saint Laurent Peninsula
