What a meal!
We were charmed from beginning to end.
The ambiance of the dining room and the originality of the decor.
The impeccable service.
The carefully curated wine list.
The numerous and daring amuse-bouches were so intensely aromatic that we were delighted to welcome the asparagus prepared in all its forms, which, with elegance, prepared the way for the Arctic char followed by the rabbit...
Special mention, for me, goes to the combination of banana guacamole, amaranth risotto, sorrel egg, and cedra ravioli.
It's off the beaten path, and we left feeling delighted. So much inventiveness and mastery on the plate. It's beautiful, it's delicious, always perfectly balanced. BRAVO!

We were seated on the brasserie side of the terrace, a group of 10.
The setting is magnificent, with plenty of outdoor space.
The service was excellent.
The cuisine is very refined: for a brasserie, it's almost semi-gastronomic. A real treat!
I hope to try the fine dining side of the restaurant soon.

I came for lunch with a friend; we each ordered a starter and a main course from the menu.
The place is truly beautiful. The weather was perfect for eating in the garden, a stunning, vibrant garden, a peaceful little haven in the heart of Grenoble. It's a relaxing and pleasant spot. The servers were incredibly kind, and we didn't feel at all overwhelmed by them.
However, I found the "perfect egg" not as extraordinary as it was described on the menu. I felt the presentation lacked attention to detail. I think the "tartare-style" presentation is completely out of character for Fantin Latour. A bit sloppy, in my opinion, and lacking in elegance. Aside from that, the taste was definitely there, although I might have opted for something more substantial, as the portion was completely disproportionate to the "crayfish ravioli" appetizer, which looked enormous in comparison, but which, both visually and in terms of taste, far surpassed the perfect egg.
Furthermore, for our main courses, we each chose duck breast and beef fillet. Both were cooked perfectly. The meat was truly high quality. However, the truffle sauce offered to enhance the beef fillet was rather lacking. The truffle flavor was masked, there was very little sauce, and ultimately, I mostly felt like I was eating a good piece of beef fillet without any truffle sauce. It was certainly a good sauce, but unfortunately, the truffle flavor was completely absent.
As for the duck breast, there was absolutely nothing to criticize; it was excellent in every way.
If I had to add one small criticism, it would be the limited number of cocktails on the menu. Aside from the cocktail of the moment, the arrival of warmer weather makes you want (especially at lunchtime in a bistro) to drink something refreshing, perhaps somewhere between fruit juice and a glass of wine.
The experience itself was pleasant; the dishes are made with good ingredients, and it shows. However, objectively speaking, €70 for a main course, starter, and glass of wine seems a bit pricey for a bistro, considering the drawbacks mentioned above (€40 for the beef fillet and €24 for the perfect egg). Since I don't (yet) know what the dinner menu is, I hope that for the price, we were more than satisfied with our meal. Lunch was generally very good, but in my opinion, too expensive without these adjustments.
In any case, it remains a nice place to have lunch with friends, family, or as a couple!
