A charming hotel, decorated with great taste and offering excellent cuisine.

We spent a night at this hotel in early December 2025. It's ideally located near the center of Houlgate and just steps from the sea. The manager is particularly welcoming, and the staff is very helpful and pleasant. We had dinner and breakfast. Everything was perfect, homemade, and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it! The room was very clean, quiet, and spacious. In short... nothing to complain about except positive things, and we don't understand the few (thankfully not many) negative comments we've read. But unfortunately, there are chronically dissatisfied people everywhere :-) We often take weekend trips like this, and frankly, everything is perfect at this hotel-restaurant: the welcome, the location, the cleanliness, the food! :-)

I only stopped by this establishment to inquire about a takeaway meal, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the lovely aroma and the kindness of the servers who welcomed and advised me. I will gladly return to eat in the restaurant on my next visit to Houlgate!

A warm and welcoming family-run hotel-restaurant located right in the city center. In a rustic yet modern setting, it's a delightful place to have lunch or dinner, or simply enjoy an aperitif or afternoon snack on the terrace. There's a good selection, everything is homemade, and the menu features seasonal dishes. What's more, the daily specials board changes every day! You'll find traditional dishes that are expertly prepared. You can really taste Normandy and its comforting flavors of crème fraîche and butter. There's also a wide variety of drinks and cocktails, with a special mention for the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice straight from the greengrocer next door! In addition, the service is very friendly; Maxime and his mother are lovely! Thank you to the whole team, and see you soon!
