Very expensive, too many symbiotic relationships

👑 A culinary journey to the Roanne region, visiting the Reure family, owners of this beautiful restaurant nestled in the heart of the village of St Alban les Eaux: Le Petit Prince. 👑 It's a fine and renowned restaurant that we'd been wanting to try for a long time. So we finally got to enjoy my birthday/Christmas present! 👑 In a magnificent former wine cellar, blending modern amenities with old stone walls, we were welcomed by professional and attentive staff. We were presented with the "Cesar" tasting menu and its wine pairings. 👑 A major culinary highlight for GG and me: undoubtedly the best restaurant we've been to so far. Everything was perfect: the balance on the palate was superb. Each flavor bursts forth, and we were surprised by bold yet always successful combinations. The wine was magnificent and chosen with passion by the sommelier. In the kitchen, youth is showcasing its talent, with Quentin Billaud at the helm of a brigade of nine chefs. I think they could all be my children, they're so young! A talent brimming with freshness and passion!

A remarkable place, pleasant and competent staff, and perfectly matched food and wine. We spent a very enjoyable evening in the shade of the linden trees, punctuated by a visit to the beautifully presented ancestral cellars.

We were absolutely blown away. Everything is meticulously planned: the welcome, the terrace, the outdoor lounge, the service, and of course, the cuisine. The large staff did everything to ensure our enjoyment: the maître d'hôtel, the sommelier, the cheesemonger... We opted for the tasting menu, and the amuse-bouches alone deserve one (or even two) Michelin stars. The meal was divine, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, not to mention the originality (puff pastry bread, porcini mushroom butter, etc.). You'd have to go back years to find a more delightful experience. After the meal, we were given a tour of the premises, and the wine cellar is well worth a visit; it's not in just a few years that such a collection of excellent bottles can be amassed (for our meal, we chose a Giscourt and a Haut-Marbuset red wine). There's also a gourmet shop that offers, among other things, excellent rums. A huge congratulations to the owner! (But where have the Michelin inspectors gone?)

A cozy, warm, yet refined atmosphere. Excellent food. Very pleasant and efficient service. Don't miss a quick tour of the cellar for a coffee after your meal.
