A very warm welcome and a great waitstaff, excellent food in the heart of the village on a superb terrace.

I enjoyed lunch under a parasol.
I actually don't really enjoy the sun or cigarette smoke, so I always prefer indoor seating. However, the indoor tables were packed. It seems best to make a reservation in advance. The sun was strong, but the delicious food made up for it. I don't prefer sweet food, so I skipped dessert, and the bill came to around 130 euros.
I requested that the salt be reduced to make it less salty, and the food was absolutely perfect. For appetizers, I had salad and ham, and for the main course, I had beef and pork. Both the beef and pork were cooked and seasoned perfectly; personally, the pork had just the right amount of fat and a nice chewy texture, making it feel like I was eating delicious Korean Bossam.

Some restaurants chase Michelin stars. This one just lets the church bells do the marketing.
Tucked right beside Megève’s beautiful church in the heart of the village square, this place serves front-row seats to one of the prettiest dinner soundtracks you’ll ever hear. Every now and then the bells ring, people wander by, and suddenly your meal feels like you’re starring in a French movie… except with much better food.
The menu doesn’t try to impress you with 147 options. It quietly says, “Trust us,” and honestly, you should. Service is flawless, the wine list is dangerously tempting (although I somehow ended up flirting with a local Spritz instead), and every plate arrived hot and fresh, it almost felt like the kitchen had been reading our minds.
The cheese platter was the perfect opening act, the traditional beef tartare with its incredible potatoes absolutely stole the show, while the gnocchi and salmon reminded us that simplicity, when done right, is pure magic.
No unnecessary theatrics. No culinary gymnastics. Just genuinely outstanding food, impeccable service, and one of the best dining locations in Megève.
If you’re looking for a meal that tastes as good as the view feels, ring the bell… or rather, let the bell ring for you. I’ll happily answer the call again.

A remarkable discovery.
The magnificent setting in Megève, a lunch on the terrace in a particularly well-situated location in the shade of the church steeple, will set the rhythm of your culinary experience.
The staff is very attentive, friendly, and always smiling.
You can choose from the set menu; we preferred to explore the à la carte menu, and it was pure bliss.
Delicate and flavorful dishes.
Starters, main courses, and desserts prepared with the same meticulous attention to detail that will delight your palate, and a very fine wine list.
Take the time to discover this haven of gastronomic pleasure.

While strolling through the city, we stumbled upon this restaurant and we absolutely don't regret stopping by.
The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive.
As for the food, everything was perfect. We chose the slow-cooked chicken with a mushroom sauce: a real treat. The meat was incredibly tender. A big thank you to the chef for this perfectly executed cooking, enhanced by a light snack just before serving.
A big thank you also to the waiter, who was very kind throughout the meal.
Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience. We will gladly return if we are ever in the area again!

I have travelled extensively over more than 40 years, dining in restaurants ranging from small family-run places to Michelin three-star establishments. This is my honest review of the restaurant Le Prieuré in Megève, France.
We had a wonderful lunch at this charming French bistro in the heart of Megève, right next to the church on the village square. The shaded terrace is a lovely place to enjoy a relaxed summer meal, and the staff were genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit.
We chose the daily set menu, which offered excellent value for money. It started with a beautifully presented smoked beet carpaccio, sliced paper-thin and wonderfully fresh and summery. The main course was a perfectly cooked pork tenderloin with a rich wine sauce and crispy baby potatoes. We also ordered the poultry with morel sauce, which was equally delicious. The chicken was of excellent quality, with a texture reminiscent of Bresse poultry, and the sauce was generous with morels, complemented by other mushrooms for extra depth of flavour. To finish, we enjoyed a creamy tiramisu topped with crunchy hazelnuts, a truly indulgent dessert.
Everything was well prepared, tasty, and fairly priced, and the friendly service made the experience even more enjoyable. The only small point worth mentioning is that the main course took a little longer than expected to arrive. Other than that, it was an excellent experience, and we would happily return.

A very good meal with impeccable service from Manon (new recruit!) and Eliot, the "veteran," always attentive and with his three years of experience, I believe! Let's not forget Aurélien and his discreet yet effective management! Great food and a great atmosphere among the young team—well done!
