Restaurant Le Vauban sur Brest

I'm sharing my opinion about the restaurant, Le Vauban. Excellent welcome; the whole team is kind and attentive to the well-being of their customers, which is rare these days. All the dishes are homemade and delicious. Here's a chef who prepares his dishes with heart. You'll always find fish and French meat. Delicious desserts. A special mention for the blackcurrant sorbet. Be warned, it's addictive! Next time, I'll have four scoops. Every lunchtime, they offer daily specials. Don't hesitate to stop by, even just for a quick coffee during the day. Thank you all. Sylvie

Vauban Hotel Brest 23rd October 2025 We arrived in Brest as our first stop ahead of travelling along the west of France towards a return to the UK across the Bay of Biscay. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the station. Friendly staff and clean, comfortable room. Breakfast a good standard continental style with fresh orange juice (always a bonus, even if you have to squeeze it yourself). Interesting venue all round, with an onsite restaurant and basement entertainment venue which has hosted a number of famous musicians/singers over the years. We’d missed the jazz nights, sadly. Would highly recommend the hotel. Good value at £90 for a double room and breakfast and lovely staff. You can’t ask for more, in my opinion.

Ideal place to eat or have a drink, attend a concert, and if too tired to go home, get a hotel room to sleep.

Time hasn't stood still at Le Vauban. Le Vauban brings culinary traditions back to our plates... I must admit, I was blown away by the simplicity and deliciousness of my dishes. The service was as warm as the smiles that accompanied every bite. I'll say it: I tasted the best cheese omelet in over 20 years... And I'm not even mentioning the desserts—they were simply divine. It's clear you'll be back!

Hotel, restaurant, concerts—everything is absolutely top-notch! Just be sure to choose your concert carefully, as some are just okay, but most of them are excellent. And the food is delicious! 👋

A Brest institution! A very warm welcome, comfortable and quiet Sony rooms, and an excellent restaurant. All the staff are very friendly. A place to remember.
