Restaurant L'edelweiss sur Rennes

A wonderful discovery. We'll gladly return. It was delicious, very generous portions, and the atmosphere was friendly. And a big bonus: a fantastic welcome and a warm ambiance.

The fondue was very average and the dessert was the Metro brand fondant that came out of the microwave.

I've been to this restaurant several times with my partner, and we've brought many friends and family to introduce them to this fantastic place. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend it!

Excellent experience at the Savoyard restaurant L’Edelweiss. The food was very good, generous, and flavorful. The service was top-notch, quick, and attentive. A warm welcome from a kind and smiling team. A truly delightful experience; we will definitely be back!

The meal was very good, the young waiter provided excellent service, and the owner is a good businessman, playing along and listening to his customers.

I would like to thank the entire restaurant team. The experience was excellent from start to finish. When we first wanted to go to the restaurant, we were told that we needed to book at least a day in advance, as all the tables were reserved. So I called two days before and left a message on the voicemail. On the day itself (despite the late hour and it being a public holiday), I received a call to confirm the reservation. The woman on the phone was very patient with me, as French is not my native language, and took the time to understand me. The next day, I had to call again because two people wanted to join us. This was again arranged without any problems, thanks to a friendly phone call (I would, however, recommend that anyone with a group of this size book further in advance). Once there, everything also went smoothly, and we were immediately given our tables. Our order was taken quickly, and despite the language barrier (even though the waiter spoke English), we were treated with great kindness (which, unfortunately, isn't always the case). The atmosphere is very pleasant, and you feel like you're in a cabin in the mountains. The whole restaurant smells of cheese. I hope we didn't disturb the other customers with our noise, and if so, I apologize. The fondue was divine, and it was a wonderful experience for us Germans. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The portions are very generous! Even the salads are huge and could easily be a meal if you're not a big eater. The quality isn't exceptional, but for the price, it's very good. The service is quick and the staff are friendly. The decor really transports you to Savoy (and the smell of cheese too!). I'll definitely go back. Remember to book ahead, as it's often full.

A warm and welcoming restaurant with a lovely owner.

I've been coming here for years to enjoy a variety of Savoyard dishes. They're all equally delicious! The waiters and owners give excellent advice on the different dishes and wines. I highly recommend this restaurant!
