Restaurant Les Barmettes sur Pralognan-La-Vanoise

Pretty refuge, located at the top of the chairlift. A beautiful terrace with a view of the valley. Fairly large rooms with single bunk beds. A drying room. Only downside: only one shower and one sink for the entire gîte 😓

More than a refuge it is a hotel. Very good value for money

Blueberry tartelette! A second to all the reviews that say to try this. It’s 🤩. We stopped for coffee and a snack after our walk up toward Lac des Vaches. It’s a beautiful setting. Great options. Also love the easy seating for a quick drink and snack. Of course, full menu available too. They accept credit cards. Perfect spot!

Endroit parfait pour se reposer après une petite randonnée avec un cadre magnifique. Très bon accueil. La restauration est excellente.

We took a drink and a piece of blueberry pie (Tarte aux Myrtille). The pie was delicious! The view magnificent! But the balustrade around the terrace is quite high cutting a bit of this view, minor detail. The location of the Refuge just next to the station of the télésiège is very convenient and perfect to end your hike there before getting back to the parking lot, also the 30min walk down to the parking lot to digest is easy. Of course there is free drinking water 🚰 available.

Passage through this refuge for a picnic, access on foot, nice panorama to go up and down, lots of marmots in the surrounding meadows.

Nothing to say, just maybe the price of breakfast but otherwise very nice in summer, beautiful view

Refuge which allows a quick meal after exercise on a terrace which offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountain.

We spent 1 night there as part of Tour de la Vanoise. Very satisfied!
