We had dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed refreshments several times in the garden adjoining the terrace. Dinner was delicious; all three courses were excellent, as were the desserts. The service was pleasant and impeccable. After your hike, you can relax with a drink in a deckchair in the garden. In short, a place not to be missed when you visit Vars les Claux.

Superb hotel in a stunning and ideally located setting. The welcome and staff were lovely. The rooms are superb, very clean, and the bedding is high quality. The decor is exactly what you look for in the mountains; perhaps tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms would be a nice addition.

Hotel-Restaurant Le Chal'heureux

23/01/2026: Great experience! 😜 When I read the previous bad reviews...it makes me laugh... People...there's a menu...the prices are on it, for crying out loud!!! Anyway...for us, it was fantastic!!! We went there tonight and the team was very friendly and attentive. 🥰 Access via snowmobile is a really fun experience (the drivers are very kind). We had a very good meal. In short...I recommend it because it's a unique experience and I really found the team friendly.
20/01/2026: We arrived from Brittany on January 20th for lunch. There were nine of us, and they found us a table right away! The owner is super friendly! Delicious meal! Thank you to the whole team! Thank you for the complimentary génépi! See you next year!
