Restaurant L'Etage sur Annecy

A very poor choice of restaurant (despite a recommendation from an acquaintance). The waiter was incredibly rushed, had no wine knowledge, didn't offer a tasting before serving, and the service was rushed and disorganized. It's a shame, the setting was nice, but it's like a factory and... 🤨🤨

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly wonderful restaurant in Annecy's old town. We had a romantic lunch this Sunday and were completely won over. L'Étage is exactly what you're looking for when visiting Annecy: generous, home-style cooking, fresh, seasonal produce, in an atmosphere that's both welcoming and refined. The value for money is truly excellent—you can enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank. We were particularly taken with the tartiflette and the confit pork shoulder—meltingly tender, perfectly cooked, and a generous portion. And a special mention for the desserts, which were simply outstanding. A real treat, homemade, that makes you want to linger at the table a little longer. The service is attentive, and the restaurant is ideally located on Rue du Pâquier, just steps from the canal and the old town. An institution for over 100 years, and it shows in the attention to detail. We highly recommend it and we will be back!

Disappointed by the very dry cod loin. Disappointed by the overly thick crêpe Suzette. Disappointed not to have been able to pay with e@connect holiday vouchers even though the restaurant accepts them.

The fondue was terrible, almost inedible unfortunately… Very greasy with too much wine and oil that didn't mix with the cheese. The cheese became rubbery as soon as it came out of the pot. I'm very disappointed. Otherwise, everything was fine. The servers, the restaurant, and the pastries were all very enjoyable!
